another fantastic close encounter hopefully coming up between these two sides....hopefully Leedy gives Billy the heads up for WP to play their C team on Sat  .....

not too sure the injury status of Dalziell post derby and Jamie Mac, but both are listed in the budget, so hopefully they will both play....if not a great opportunity for a youngster in Schleicher to get a debut game.....WP midfielders in Black, Nelson and Kerr will always get lots of the footy, should be a good battle for middle ground supremacy between both sides. Up front, WP like EF rely on their mid size - smaller forwards and midfielders for goals.....no out and out tall goalkicker of any note. Both teams have pretty good defenders, so I reckon goals will be hard to come by.....once again middle ground ownership will be the key here.

EF from all reports deserved what they got against SF, disappointing to say the least especially considering the bearing on that game for both sides. Gotta move on I guess, win tomorrow and the Mortons have a day out against their old club and 4th spot is done and dusted.....not too sure that scenario is gonna pan out, all EF must do is control their destiny and win every game they play in from now on.....

Really tight in the reserves as well, big win by the WP reserves last time they met, actually a pasting from memory. Certainly is backing up for a finals spot in that comp as well, whilst EF colts have certainly died a death in latter half of the season, but good to see more new names pop up each weekend, with one eye on next year.

Would really love an easy EF victory to go a long way to sealing 4th spot.....can't see it happening, WP still have a chance for 4th spot, all to play for for both teams.........thus I reckon it will be another close tight affair again.

Good to be back in the winners circle. Great defensive effort today and with some better kicking at goals we could have won by more.

Can't believe how many times WP kicked to us and out on the full. We still need to improve but we'll take it.

Rock, outplayed us, we went back to what we have been doing the majority of the season. What astounds me is that we have lost 7 of our 10 losses by 17p or less, yesterdays game was like a 40+point loss, 17 points flatters us!

Yep well done to the Sharks.. Defence was incredible. In the first qtr we had the ball inside of our 50 for the majority of the qtr but just couldnt convert.
EF showed in defence they have the goods.

The forwards as you say were a bit off target and I thought God was on our side when I saw 4 shots for goal that were not hard result in points. Gotta work on that guys.
The winning margin should of been higher (at least 4/6 goals)
In a close one it could be vital.Scoring Shots EF 20 WP 13.

All the best in the Finals. Would be great to see you knock Swans out of third so you can get a home final instead of playing at Steel Blue. Not only that but I want to have another day at the Shark Pit :)
Possibility WP reserves could be there as well in a final. Will see how it pans out.

Anything is possible for EF now as the finals are a different ball game. If EP werent there with their stacked side it could of been anyones Flag.

great team effort
it is a truly unbelievable record we have joondy
I thought the hardness of goughy & rory were standouts
doddy went off in the first 5 mins of the game with a knee but returned and was brilliant in defence along with the others down there...best defence in the comp
great return from injury by jmac
peakey used his pace and experience to bag 5

should be cracker against sd in our next home game

West Perth had their fair share of the ball. When going forward, their ball use could have been better. West Perth's indirect ball usage and sometimes poor decisions in play is how they lost. That is how it seemed from the tv broadcast.

A win is a win I guess, especially one with so much riding on it. I guess WP performance sums up their 2014 season......whilst no doubt fustrating for them not to make the finals and defend their flag, I reckon a lot of the WP fans will revel in their last few weeks as reigning premiers......and why not as well..........as for EF well still plenty of work to do still.......rather be there than not be there I guess

The clock is ticking Freeze until I have to take the Premiership stickers off the cars, Premiership pic off my FB page and the thought of no longer being reigning Premiers !!!
