actually gonna be in Australia when this match is played.....just sadly not Perth....in Melbourne with my youngest for 3 matches of AFL footy.....not WAFL I know, but for this footy starved fella, beggars can't be choosers!!.see ya soon Ooos for a good catch up mate!!

Never ever like playing Peel.....looking back it is more often than not 4 pts in the bag.....but it's a lose lose situation v Peel....if you lose then you get hammered for letting them beat you and if you don't win by a lot, it's a loss % wise and you get hammered for not winning by plenty!!

EF realistically to shore up 4th spot need to win 2 of there next 3 games v Peel, Cl and SF.....to be a worthy finals side then EF need to beat all three like a top 4 side should......Young hopefully can build from those 5 goals v EP, to atleast provide EF with a competitive tall target up front, Peake and Lester-Smith need to get back on the score sheet, whilst Perham and Eardley need to kick straight.

Not too sure what Freo's plans with Griffen are now.....would love to have him rucking in EF colours rather than Peels......gotta feeling the next game Peel play EF after this one, the likes of Duffy and Menagola will be in blue & white.....Ballyntyne suspension means perhaps Cl tormentor in DeBoer may get a Freo call up, not too sure who else Freo will call up.....no doubt playing away means a sub will go for the ride.....EF stuffed up a perfect chance to roll a 'weakened' EP side and came up way short.....can't do this against Peel this weekend.....need the win, gotta win to nail down 4th spot.

Good to see the reserves come from the dead and snatch a win v EP, hopefully it may continue v Peel reserves side, lot of teams queuing up for a reserves finals possie.....the colts hopefully will squeeze a couple more wins before the season is out.....TBH though Peel is the only game they have a half decent chance of winning.......would love to go three from three.....but EF rarely do that.....one week at a time I guess.....though after last weeks loss to EP, not too sure EF(if they make it) will even get out of the 1st semi......

Dont worry Freezin I will go down and have a couple at the Shark pit for you. WP having a bye will make do with this game. Peel could make it exciting who knows. WP will be playing in Melbourne on Tuesday night so if your still around you could goto that and barrack for the mighty Cardies.

Freeze, you will be pleased to know that my daughters boyfriend will be making his debut for EF in the colts, Sam Davies ! He will play this game and a handful of others for the remainder of the season then joining the Sharks full time next season.

Yep. It'll be another 4 points in the bank come 5 o'clock. East Fremantle will be firmly entrenched in the top four.

I thought the best part of the day was the wags in the can bar referring to Peel as a "slut club". Quite apt I thought. We have two of those in the competition, not that you can really call it a competition.

Some true words said there ST. Lets hope the excuse they call a commission, opens it's bloody eyes to the damage being done!

Noticed East Fremantle have a hard run home. Rd 18 sees them against Claremont at the showgrounds. Rd 19 At home playing South Fremantle. Rd 20 and facing West Perth over at the Arena. After the bye, they face Swan Districts (at home) and then Subiaco (away). The remaining fixtures will give a good indication of their place in the finals.

Spot on. Sharks have imploded twice in the last three years in the run to the finals and they could quite easily do it again with that draw. Regrettably from my perspective, I think Subi are the only chance of competing with the Eagles XVIII in the grand final so probably don't matter where the Sharks finish.

God, if the Falcons can beat the commissioners favourite next week then the top 4 is definitely not dead. I'd rather the Falcons win no matter what it means for the fourth spot battle.

Well it cant be said EFwont be worthy finalists if they squeeze 3 wins out of that lot to earn a finals spot. Rather have that run home then an easier one, nothing worse than a soft run home, false sense of security being built up, only to get jettisoned out of the finals v a stronger/better side. By time the season is out, IF EF do make the 1st or 2nd semi, they will have a pretty fair idea of where they sit on the ladder.

Cl are coming home with a wet sail, I read their ground is a bog heap, EF seem to thrive in those conditions with a few mud larks in McGough and ROB. Will be an interesting contest, Cl need the win to keep a sniff of finals footy, whilst EF need the win to practically kill off both WP & Cl finals aspirations if EP beat WP on Sat. Pretty hard to catch 24 - 30 pts on a side with only the said amount of points available. Oneof those teams will fall by theway side during this time. I reckon that loss to Peel could be Cl downfall anyway and also their slow start to the season.

One game at a time i guess........
