Key forwards are only going to be as good as their supply. Subiaco had 100+ plus more disposals and therefore had double inside forward 50m entries. East Freo only went into their front 50m 25 times for 1.6. Game was done and dusted by quarter time with Subi kicking with the wind and leading by the best part of 8 goals before the rain came down. No excuses though, both West Perth and Subi ran us off our legs and we're much better in contested ball wins.

if your mids can pressurise the delivery into your opponents forward 50, than at least your defence stands a chance of rebounding the forward thrust back from whence it came.....seems like McGough, ROB, Dalziell etc did that quite well......not a huge fan of Peake, but he has been a godsend for EF forward line this year......hopefully another forward can step up and give the fella a hand as EF try to cement a finals possie.....

Was responding to the comments of Freezin who posted that with both Ellis and Howson up front they should be kicking more than 1.6 for a game of ressies. Need to be able to win and control the ball first before your key forwards can get on the end of it and have an impact.

Pity about BOB, injury always seems to follow the fella, touch wood it is only a minor tear. The reserves have definitely gone off the boil, the bye has come at a good time, really thought the combination of Howson and Ellis would of been quite productive at the lower level, still time though I guess for that to happen.

saw Suttons name in the budget for the first time Strono, also thought I read some where his early season injury came from some late night high jinx,.......really think the kid has some size and ability to play league.

Great to see Read and Jupp quietly going about their business, Dodd replaces BOB up back for the time being, wonder how far Bayliss is away too?

bob... according to our website he is listed as 3-4 weeks...has a past history with hammies so need to careful
dodd...definitely back for perth
bayliss....should play against perth in the ressies

Sutton training with the senior squad but unfit and played with Willetton colts on the weekend im told
