in a way thank fudge we aren't playing this game at EF.....don't seem to win there as much these days......good grinding win on Sat.....with the added help of the umps of course(getting used to that apparently most weeks/years ;) ) and WP playing undermanned....again.....cheers for that Billy ;)

Hopefully EF have learnt from their first up meeting with Subi.....Subi were playing some red hot footy back then, have slightly come off the boil since but still a quality outfit across the park. EF have built up some nice momentum over the past months.....whilst only against lower clubs, one must remember Perth and SF were in closer proximity to the four when EF played them, so both clubs were desperate for the win.....and WP whilst without a few were up by 20 at home chasing a top four spot and EF still clawed their way back for a win.

EF were without MacNamara and Dodd.....two key boys, so having them back will be crucial for EF chances v Subi.....Hampson is playing some red hot footy of late.....whilst the likes of Hilda, Twomey, Bristow, Horsely and the two ES recruits are all dangerous and classy players.....should be a classic encounter one hopes, a lot of decent talent on display.....EF big men will be working hard v Stockley......just gotta compete and do the rotations.....Chartres has played some good footy from all reports, fitted in well and proving to be an invaluable acquisition to the EF side....the backs keep delivering.....Dodd back will probably mean Dorotich will lose a spot......

through the middle ROB, McGough, Dalziell, Eardley and MacNamara will always win a lot of footy for EF......Schofield is being cheeky up front, Perham at last taking marks and kicking a few goals, whilst Peake and Lester-Smith seem to be chipping in with a few here and there....would love to see Howson up front, but I guess he needs to a few games in the reserves with some bags under his belt.....the reserves obviously struggled v WP.....won't find it any easier v Subi on Sat.....the colts seem to play their best at the end of the game.....need to get on board sooner in a game.....good to see 2 - 3 15 yr olds and a heap of 16 - 17 yr olds playing each week......and still sitting in 5th spot!

fancy Subi in the first two games, any ones game in the league.....though Subi do seem to have the wood over EF since that 1986 GF win......faaaaarrrrk that game still gives me nightmares

I'd heard that Chartres had fitted in well and was adding a hard edge to the side. Been quite an influential player in the recent run of wins from all accounts.

Be interesting to see how this plays out.

looking fwd to the subi game this week after travelling to gero to watch them belt us...though we got within 6 pts during the 3rd qt

impressive win v wp when we could of been well and truly out of it at 3 qt time but the boys lifted and got over the line...unlike the gero game

dodd & jmac to come back in...Henson has made the most of his lucky call up v peel when dalziel fell ill....both games has played like we all know he can...damaging from the wing on both sides of his body

mcgough has been instrumental since his return and adds some real grunt in the middle and his disposal is usually as good as any in the comp

backline the best in the comp

hope the weather is the same as last week...

I think EF mids need to be on form to counter Subi's potent forward line.....pressurize their inside 50 entries and EF will hopefully get a wee bit closer than the Gero contest ;) .......snag a win and EF are 3 games clear of WP in 4th spot....as will Subi be as well!!

Would love for Mitch Clark to be persuaded into donning the boots, reckon he would provide that goal kicking target EF so clearly lack up front, compared to the likes of an EP, Subi and SD......quite surprised EF are sitting as close as they are to SD and Subi TBH........have only really dominated one contest this year(v Cl), all the other wins have been grinding affairs....

Reserves will definitely need to lift their rating after last weeks abysmal performance v WP.....Subi reserves are running amok of late, gonna be a tough task TBH.....hopefully Howson and Ellis can kick a few bags to get EF back on track.

The colts have had two golden opportunities to snag a 4th spot.....come up short both times......Cripps and Bennett return from state duties..... meaning Subi will get some quality boys back as well....good to see Foster persisting with the youngsters....touch wood the colts can snag a few more wins before the seasons out.....but TBH 5 wins I reckon is quite a lot considering the average age of the team......hopefully these kids can kick on not only this year but in the years to come......

surely Macnamara will replace Williamson.....Dorotich is needed to help quell Subi's forward threat....good to see Hooker keeping his spot, persistence pays off eh Aiden?

good to see Tyler Sutton back on the park......first game for the year after an early season bit of madness!!

not sure whats going on with the ressies...one goal for the game today and not many last week after showing great form prior to the this

their team list suggests that they should be doing better than the return of 5 goals in two weeks

Pity about BOB, injury always seems to follow the fella, touch wood it is only a minor tear. The reserves have definitely gone off the boil, the bye has come at a good time, really thought the combination of Howson and Ellis would of been quite productive at the lower level, still time though I guess for that to happen.

saw Suttons name in the budget for the first time Strono, also thought I read some where his early season injury came from some late night high jinx,.......really think the kid has some size and ability to play league.

Great to see Read and Jupp quietly going about their business, Dodd replaces BOB up back for the time being, wonder how far Bayliss is away too?
