amazing to think looking through all 3 grades the club doesn't have an out and out goal kicker....especially a tall one....SD did EF a huge favour....against SF and EP the score line misrepresented the actual true story line of the match, thus players got reprieves the following week....kudos to SD for not slacking off and taking their foot off the pedal.....whilst Stavros may be on thin ice......can think of a few league boys playing on past reputation at present.....

time to give some of those reserves boys a game now.....they are 5/2.....Green, Hooker, T.Bristow, Solomon and Schleicher deserve a crack now...

there is no way EF deserve 7 guys in the state squad.....after WP win tomorrow, EF will be sitting in 7th spot......to have 7 guys in the state squad is ridiculous, especially when SD have got less and they whipped EF arse easily today...as did Subi earlier in the season.....

Now we lose to Peel and it will be a bottom dwellers fight. We have Sub who I watched today and they are a good looking unit.. without a big man up forward.... Interesting season to say the least..

2 emergencies from Peel didnt play today so they will help strengthen the Peel side and Keplar will be fitter for the run. Could be closer than people think. Some of our guys will be leg weary from Foxtel. Shit after todays one sided games nothing would surprise me..
Looking at results from todays games I think the men have been separated from the boys even though early season..Thought the games would of been closer. On any given day anyone can win in the WAFL that is what makes our comp great.

Back to Foxtel as a sign of how good our Comp is and it shows what talent we have.. CLA in 2 finals won 1, EF in final last year and lost and we beat AFL leaders Box Hill last Tuesday.. I think it shows WAFL is a high standard comp and one of the best in Aust... Shit we beat the Vics last year as well.... GO WAFL

Watching yesterday and over previous weeks perhaps it is not a lack of goal kicking talent but more the ball movement into our front 50m. Slow, indirect and then kicking it into a pack situation because of that certainly does not spoil forwards. Maybe the game plan needs some tweaking and winning some centre clearances would help where we got flogged yesterday.

The promotion of Perham after 5 goals in the ressies and that of young Ellis after 15 goals in the past 3 games is a step in the right direction to build the forward line around in my opinion. Both faced the problem of the ball movement all day and faced the difficult task of taking pack marks all day to kick a score, very low percentage in doing that.

I agree that some other younger players from the reserves deserve an opportunity to play but we also need to be aware that these players may take a few games to adjust to the next level. Giving them the flick back to the ressies after a week or two because they don't kick 10 or rack up 30 disposals on debut will not help them or the club resolve these issues, it's called development.

Swans have done a great job in this area and are playing terrific football because of it, remember most wrote them off at the start of the year.
