As I mentioned on the WP timeline..........
WP played SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO badly (it was embarrassing)
EF played like a team _ nice to see the clean hands, the commitment to the ball, the focus etc

But please explain because I'm stumped....how did you guys only just scrape in by 3 points
The coach will NOT be a happy chappy and the EF defence and mid's have got some answers to give me thinks

Not like our WP boys - sadly almost the entire team has to explain to Bill why they chose to play like a newly trained puppy - rolling over to play dead...

I did like what I saw in the EF camp - you guys have much to look forward to this year once again. And congrats on your international day - well done and a good crowd!

Just as embarassing it was to see EF take their foot off WP throat in the last 10 min of the game........EF got complacent,thought they had done all the hard work in restricting WP to 4 goals........come end of the day the better team on the day won.......may not be the case next these teams meet.........best thing is growler, EF learnt a valuable lesson to play out the whole game.....and they still scored 4 pts........

just an observation. Does anybody know why there was no little league game at half time? Is this because its too early in the season, or another case of a tradition going by the wayside? What about the other games, can some one let me know if it was the same with them as well?

I thought both teams played okay as that breeze was all over the shop with it being predominantly from the east and pushing so many balls out on the full. Probably agree with others that the Falcons turned the ball over a bit more than the Sharks but both teams had a red hot go and it was a great contest. The Falcons always impress me with their pace but the Sharks surprised me by almost matching them. The Sharks midfield got a lot of the ball however I reckon the Falcons won the centre clearances. No idea what the stats were on that though.

I'm not really sure that I like the Sharks forward set up. That's been said many times over the last decade or so I guess. I'm not entirely convinced that Chartres is a plus but give him a couple of games in bit easier playing conditions. Like what I saw of Bourne in the ressies although he's a bit light. Got good skills.

Thought it was funny yesterday morning on 94.5 when Barich and Daniel Kerr were talking to Malaxos on the phone. Barra asked Malaxos how they would go against the Falcons and he said better if Daniel was playing. Kerr responded saying that when they had previously had their talk he had told the Sharks that he couldn't commit to them as he was living in Trigg. He then went on to say that since then his missus had kicked him out! He thought Malaxos might have had something to do with that.

Should have kicked him to Shark Park as we would look after him.

Dont come much emptier than that ! Obviously your attitude reflect your teams, they looked like they were trying to me. Taking your foot off the gas is when your 60 points up and win by 30, not 33 points up with 10min to go and win by 3 !

It was another piss take leedy.......geez you are in a grumpy mood mate.......if this is gonna be our relationship mate I'm filing for a divorce..........like I said before WP fight back clearly showed the quality and grit of the team......but surely if it took WP 3 quarters to kick 4 goals and then 10 min to kick 6 goals......surely EF slacking offplayed a big part in WP last 10 minute flurry.......surely?

Freeze, I got that from the start but it was an extremely contentious issue when I mentioned that we had 9 1st stringers missing that day and that it had a significant bearing on the result. We then went on to win a premiership which clearly justified my comments and you still no doubt harbour ill feelings, to put it all to bed, EF were good (in which I have already mentioned, we were ordinary (to clarify, we were not allowed to get into the game), and finally, I didnt see any EF player taking their foot off the pedal !

Congratulations, well played, super side, must be Premiership fancies from the G7 contingent from what I saw.

I rekn the home ground advantage was worth 3-4 goals yesterday, the wind was a bugger and we didnt handle it well at all and EF played as if it was 2 knots. I liked that grab by Jupp at the death yesterday to thwart our last ditched effort, it was a pearler !

The club has decided to use caterers Delaware North to operate their beverage operations (not sure about the food side of things), and to be honest I wasn't impressed. Prices have gone up even though you get a 10% discount on all food & drinks. A Carlton Mid Strength is $6.50 and $5.85 if you're a member. Last year they were $5.00. A clear rip off now and not happy that the club cannot look after their members better in this area. Having said that you have to produce your membership card so they can scan it each time you make a purchase. Bloody pain in the arse!

Great day for the club with 3 from 3.
Colts were solid and did enough in the end. The Ressies got off to a flyer in the 1st qtr and hung on, and the league boys played well for 3 1/2 qtrs. to secure the 4 pts. Yes we were disappointing to let WP back into the game in the last but we clearly used the ball better overall and deserved the win.
