Have any EFFC members'supporters heard anything from our club on the takeovers? What is our position and are we at least protesting? I have written to the club, but will probably get the 'standard' answer.

Shark, I think we may find out a fair bit more when we have our AGM. Usually happens in early December.

Just checked the constitution and the AGM is to be held before the 15th Dec.

The only thing I heard is from a newspaper article dated 01 Nov 2012 from the EF chief exec (someone called Adam Kelly) who goes onto say, " We were just handed a signed deal and expected to live with it. We were very disappointed in the way that was handled. Personally I can't understand how two clubs which are member organisations, haven't consulted with their own members about the future of their clubs. We feel it's been an ad-hoc, uncoordinated approach to what's an important issue for the WAFL."end quote.

A reply from Adam Kelly. While we have read the articles, at least I know the club is showing concern.

"The 7 non partnering are working together on this. There have been a number of reports as detailed below and believe me a lot of meetings and discussion outside of that.

The truth is we have only just been provided with a paper in the past 24 hours which contains some detail on how this may work. We met yesterday and will do so again tomorrow to respond as 7 united Clubs.

We are not happy about the way this has been handled; nor the deals that have been done. We are working hard to do what we can. Part of the discussion tomorrow will be on the release of information to Club Members in response to what has been proposed.

The whole thing has been disappointing to say the least.

4th December.

Our AGM is early December. This contrived alliance has to be stopped. I know of four WP members who will not attend EP / Peel home games and i am one of them.
