TOPIC:

Not the way EF would want to enter this game, but it is what it is and no one's fault bar EFFC. The players have been pretty resilient this season with  transient training grounds and now playing a "home" final at Freo Oval. 

Not sure what EF mind sets will be like, but Peel are warming up nicely at the pointy end of the season, so a big task ahead  for EF this weekend. Murdock and JMarsh as ins....not sure the go with O'Reilly, maybe a possible run with the reserves for some match fitness....if fit....which is O'Reilly's ongoing issue. 

Peel have 2 good rucks, who eventually wore down Clarke.....EF will be reliant on their mids getting some decent ball to feed their forwards....not sure if Peel have any other Freo boys to come in, but no Taberner, Sebit or Treacy will definitely help EF defensive cause.

Good win by the EF reserves....TBH totally unexpected with a fair few colts eligible boys making up the numbers depth wise. Can't see anyone bar Murphy pushing for a league spot.

EF colts  0.0 1st quarter came back to bite....but the team kept coming and looked likely victors midway through the final quarter, only for Cl to steady and kick that last 2 goals of the game.

Colts and Reserves games were both good games, tiggers just a little more polish in the colts tho'

Murdock and JMarsh in for Marlin and the injured Walker. Walker's pace will be missed and Marlin hasn't put a foot wrong and just unlucky me thinks. Murdock will definitely be needed to match Brodie's grunt in the middle for Peel.....whilst JMarsh could be boom or bust....plus his last game was v SF....

 

Looks like Marlin not playing in ressies after al. Could be another late change to the league side. Seems to be a weekly occurrence with the Sharks.

Well done to the Sharks. I was watching on the AFL site and it looked like Peel were going to overrun you guys but a combination of great defence and some crucial misses by Peel got you over the line.

Cheers mate and it looked like the Peel/Dockers cohort were going to overrun us - it felt like it too! Hope we don't play like that in last quarter of the granny.

Not sure if The Sharks had injury issues coming into the match? Pre-game, i was expecting East Fremantle to come away with a 25 to 30 point win. They had a lot more of the ball use, yet  seemed wasteful with it. I think they'd be a bit concerned to have only kicked the one goal in the last quarter. They can't afford to do that in the Grandy. At least they get a week off waiting on whom they are facing on the big day. During their break, hopefully they'll have a full squad to choose from come Grand Final day. Has been a fantastic call by the SportFM commentary team.

Well done Sharkies. Played some fantastic pressure footy for 3 quarters but went missing a bit in the last. Aided somewhat by poor shots at goal by FART and the umps looked after you but that's fine by me as I can't stand them. The flag is yours for the taking.

Watched colts reserves and league. Great win by the sharks. The energy in the shark's huddle was frightening. Thought the angry little sharks hassled the hell out of peel but by the end they were just hanging on. Could go the other way in the gf. Three sharks ruckman, McGuire played a different game to Clark. A moving target. Student get so beaten up. 

Seems to be a certainty we are playing the Dockers/Peel cohort again in the GF. I hope they take that mentality into the game next weekend.
