Pretty good effort kicking 17 goals, considering the quality of outs for EF today. Obviously Perth struggling with their outs depth wise. Leggett kicking 7, in the absence of JMarsh and O'Reilly, plus the McGuire cousins kicking 3 a piece, showcased some forward options which may come in handy come finals time.

Great to see all 3 grades secure another clean sweep....think that's 4 on the trot now? The reserves have cemented their finals spot, just a matter of where all 3 teams will finish next week after the Subi game.

Should be a cracking final home and away fixture with all games, bar the SF / WCE game, having some say in the final 5 make up.Seems like the winner of the EF / Subi game will end up as the minor premier....though Subi have a 6% deficit to overcome....and EP will need a big win over a desperate WP to topple both EF or Subi for that top spot.

Bit of a scrappy performance yesterday and probably missed an opportunity to create more of a gap in percentage over Subi. Having said that, win and top spot is locked away.

Leggett back to form and will be crucial if Marsh and O’Reilly remain injured. Ben McGuire has been a good pick up, as has Lennon Marlin- 2 of the lesser name recruits that have come in and thrived. Fraser Turner found plenty of the ball, and McDonald was excellent again. With Marsh, Murdock, Montauban and Lawler likely to return, and Cleaver best in the Reserves, some tough decisions coming up

Good day out for all grades on a sunny day. Some murmurings overheard that league performance, if against a stronger opponent, would have resulted in a loss.

Leggett cup player ratings.

English - 6, Rather quiet afternoon.
Joyce - 7, Provided some run through the middle.
Meade - 7, Solid return to the league side.
Marsh - 6, Quiet by his own standard.
Eardley - 8, Strong contribution off half back again.
Jupp - 7, Solid performance and hard to fault.
Leggett - 9, Put on a goalkicking clinic.
McGuire. R. - 8, Had an afternoon out.
Baskerville - 8, Was very good.
Gorringe - 7. Courageous as usual.
Bennett - 6. Quiet afternoon.
Schoenfeld - 7, Capped return to the league side with a couple of handy goals.
Turner - 9, Would surely be suffering the effects of leather poisoning today.
Burton - 5, Last minute inclusion but back to the ressies next weekend.
McDonald - 8, Solid as ever.
Bailey - 7, Did well.
Jansen - 7, His tackling was a feature.
Simpson - 7, Late inclusion and spirited return.
Dixon - 5, Very quiet well held.
McGuire. B - 7, Provided some exciting moments.
Marlin - 7, Solid display in defense.
Walker - 6, A bit quiet needs to show more of his undoubted talent.

Out of all those outs, i cant see how Montauban or Lawler get back in TBH. Murdock for Burton is a given, JMarsh for big Ed. Definitely need BMcGuire and/or Walker's outside zip. With Meade back, not sure how Cleaver gets back in either. Definitely a good position to be in. As for O'Reilly, definitely an in if fit, but that's been his problem throughout his career sadly.
