Hopefully the team's mindset is on winning the game to secure 2nd spot, instead of trying to end this never ending derby drought. By focusing on the former, the latter will be achieved....2 birds with one stone so to speak. 

An uninterrupted run of 5 games now leading up to the finals, with 3 of those games v potential finalists in Cl, EP and Subi.

Obviously Murdock is an out, not sure for how long....but some handy ins hopefully in O'Reilly, Leggett and English for the league side.....and  Meade, Murphy and Williamson via the reserves.

Ain't going to predict anything here.....just be good to get into that 2nd spot going into that Cl game in a fortnight....which will definitely be an 8 pointer when the two sides meet.

I'd hate to screw up your finals aspirations this late into the season

Regardless of whatever EF does or doesn't do Doggie, SF finals aspirations are screwed.....talk about a fall from grace...  on and off the park.

Yes the concern coming from our less successful cross town rivals is touching. I know come finals time I won't be thinking of the cheatin' dogs.

Honestly, I love the Sharks, but gee whiz, what’s it about the puppy dogs that we struggle with? Full marks to them. No idea re half their players are these days, but they run hard and made us look nothing like a premiership contender. Maybe this is the kick in the butt that drives us on to a stellar end to the season. Doubt it. A wins a win. Beat the Tigers next week and I might have more faith. Oh, thanks Oobi doobi doo Subi!

Well that is it. Have to look at the bigger picture here. The win moves us to 2nd spot whilst Souths season is well and truly finished. We are playing finals footy and they are not. Credit to them though. It was a bit of a slog today and 4 hard earnt points. Good to get wins in all grades.
