Gee who would of thought we would of been talking about this.....especially after those 3 big outs just before the season started.....obviously looking for a win and a first GF appearance in 10 years....but what ever happens, happens, and EF have had a fantastic season regardless.

Always good contests v WP, won the first game by 2 pts, in it at 3/4 time in the 2nd game....so all to play for this weekend. WP are a quality side, great mids, forwards and under rated defence. EF are on a roll, good mix of goal kickers, similar under rated defence and some good hard at it mids and Goddard has been a god send.

Can't see any changes, though with Leggett back in the training group, could Monaghan roll the dice for Leggett's obvious quality and lethal left boot....big risk and a big call....plus pretty rough on the fella who has to make way....unless injured.

Never easy up Joondy way.....WP would be looking for a cleen sweep on all 3 grades....hope its a sweep to the losing column instead of to the winning column. Good luck to both clubs.

Spot on Freeze.  Winning is everything usually, but due to all the hurdles the club had to jump, this has been a great year.  Now we dare to hope that it has been a fantastic year.

I give the Sharks a great chance in this game. They are coming into it with a lot of momentum and may be able to knock West Perth off balance early. Sometimes a week off may be a disadvantage in finals as West Perth haven't played a top 5 team for a few weeks. East Fremantles recent record at Joondalup is not good ( lost last eight) but up till 2014, which is the last time they played finals, the Sharks had a 15 - 11 record there.

One cannot rule out an East Fremantle win for this match.
In the qualifying matches they kicked 227 Goals for the season, 20 more than West Perth have done. East Fremantle been averaging 27 Ball disposals per goal to West Perth's average of 30. And the Sharks been averaging almost 14 ball disposals per scoring shot this season to West Perth's 15 and a half ball disposals per scoring shot.
West Perth would be happy with their Home ground advantage which would be worth about 3 goals.
Going to be a top notch game this one. Good luck to both teams.
The weather is said to be a possibility of light rain and a max temp of between 17 to 20 degrees.

58 the danger for EF is just that sort of thinking, having exceeded expectations to this point and being happy with that. That being said I think Bill is the sort of coach that wont let that sort of thinking take hold with your playing group, flag chances are few and far between so expect he will have the group in a fierce frame of mind. I hope so as I rate Joondy just above Peelmantle in likeability only because they are a traditional WAFL club.

Well done WP, not only on the league win, but all 3 grades winning... great effort. EF lost their way in front of goal in the 2nd half, had opportunities to put the home side under pressure, but came up short sadly. A case of brushing one self down and going again.

Bit disappointing, but the Cardies aren’t on top for no reason.  That fella (Meadows wasn’t it?) just carved us up out of the centre.  Now we’ll probably have to front up to the stacked Fiddler Crabs.  Not gunna be easy.  Johnno had a quiet one, hopefully back into gear next week.

bill must of been letting some expletives fly in the coaches box with our disposal that directly cost us a number of goals
58shark whilst he didnt kick a goal I thought marshy did okay especially early in setting up at least 3 goals & was involved in many contests

peel not so stacked with some late outs - claremont every chance to win

Watched the broadcast and apart from the poor conversion by EF there was not much in it. The big Joondy ruckman surprisingly got on top of Goddard, not sure Goddard will let that happen again if EF get another shot at Joondy in the GF.

I think the Sharks will struggle to beat Claremont- they threw everything at WP and I can't see them being able to match a rejuvenated Claremont. Its Marsh or nothing up forward- got away with it during the season but when the pressure is higher in finals you need so key forwards that can take a grab. Jansen and McGuire just haven't delivered. Dixon, O'Reilly, Teakle and Leggett would have.
