Easily EF best performance in a half a footy for a few years.....great spread of goalkickers.....fantastic to see young Reuben McGuire hit the scoreboard, and also young Jed Hagan with 3. Obviously when on song, Marsh is a handful. Really thought on paper that was one of SD best lineups this year, so kudos for EF burying the game in the 2nd half.....sews up a finals spot with Peel also losing today.....rather a 2nd chance in finals then an elimination final......so next weeks game v Cl will be super important.....

Another very good 4 quarter display with all players contributing. After half time it became a procession with 14 goals scored to just 2. Nice spread of goal scorers. Goddard dominated in the ruck and our mids got their hands on plenty of the ball. Baskers was the standout but received great support from Lester-Smith, Bennett, Schoenfeld and Murdock. Eardley and Jupp marshalled the defence as usual and were both outstanding. Meade, Bailey, Tassone all had solid games too down back. Jack Cleaver in just his second game deserves a mention. Looked very composed in defence and like Jed Hagan might not play too many more games for us.

EF very good and played the short ground superbly.
They have most talented player in the comp Marsh but he is also their greatest weakness, he keeps his head they could win the flag

Well done to East Freo. Far too good for us today. They have the style of game that can stand up under the pressure of finals and if they can win their last two games and secure a double chance they are as good a chance as anybody to win the flag. They obviously will need to get around the mental block they have with South Fremantle to get deep into September
Marsh is an absolute beast and I'm sure he intimidated some of the Swans players today. If he can keep his emotions under control he will be a huge factor in the finals.
I hope you guys do well, unfortunately I don't think we will be good enough to keep Peel out of the finals.

Teakle kicks 4 in Port's final SANFL game, geez he would be more then handy if EF can get him back for the rest of the season....not sure the exact rule, but I believe all Teakle needs to do is say to Port that he wants play for EF ...that time off with his collarbone # means Teakle hasn't played a full season of footy......Port would be pricks denying the guy an opportunity to play finals.....but alas it is an AFL club come end of the day.

Well played yesterday Old Easts, you were far too good for a very ordinary SD side.
What a pity that was the last game at the WACA this season as you blokes play the ground superbly, if finals were played there I could see EF going really deep but instead it will be used for a cricket fixture that in all honesty Stevens Reserve could cater for its 50 patrons!
 

Yes I really enjoyed being at the WACA , a good atmosphere and a lovely sunny day. The hospitality areas were full and there seemed to be a player reunion going on at one corner of the ground. The only aspect I didn't enjoy was what was happening on the field!  But fair play to the Sharks who were very slick and hungry.

Well you've got to say after walking into the club and sacking your FAIREST and BEST winner,and then looking like he might get the arse halfway during last season,it looks like Buffalo Bill is having the last laugh.With Jupp and Marsh arguably the 2 best bookends in the comp.and quite a deep midfield you guys are as good a chance as anyone to win this years flag.

Nice story except that Bill just happened to be resigned by the club during last season!
