The board of directors played very well today…..don’t you think?

In all seriousness, while it wasn’t the greatest game as far as skills go the Sharks played some damn good footy and looked impressive at times.  I will admit, I spent the whole game waiting for them to have their usual 25 min nap, but they answered every challenge that was thrown at them.

Winners piss, FF2! Enjoy it mate- hasn’t happened often. Think you’ve got it wrong- they had a couple out- we had about 8. Not surprised you didn’t know that

Gotta feeling that Perth game will be the easier of EF remaining  H&A season games....WCE game next week will be far different from the last time we played them.....ditto Peel and EP too.... whilst the rest will be v all the teams currently sitting in the 5.....win is a win, good for the players self confidence.....was expecting that 20 min siesta after half time, but the side stood firm and secured the four points....long may it continue.

 

Considering the outs, with Eardley a late withdrawal, it was a great win. Certainly shows where the players sat around the coaches re-appointment. And credit also: on face value, Jr and Montauban came in off little form but the pressure they put on was excellent. Burton came in and cracked in also.
And Smith, who replace Snadden in the midfield- looked comfortable at the level. Overall, a lot of positives and the first win in a while against last years finalists. Morgan Davies was excellent on Grey. Tassone has been excellent the last few as well. Good to see the players that have had a prolonged run at it, and backed faithfully by the coach, start to deliver. But its only 1 game.....

Interesting that Bill and Adam Pickering from Swans were both reappointed in their respective jobs within a couple of days of each other with vastly different responses from the player groups....
Well done to the Sharks, I had a feeling that sort of performance might be coming once they eliminated the one quarter fadeouts. They were more than a match for Swans at Bassendean a few weeks ago but lost the game in a 20 minute period in the 2nd quarter.
