You certainly would think that Ti Em, but I remember last week some of us were confident we’d knock off the D’s....  although I see the reasoning, WC aren’t anywhere as good as Perth at the moment.

It should be a record winning margin for you blokes tomorrow.
 

Okay. I’ve got to come clean.

In September 1998 I left my wife. A lovely woman, just not meant to be. Sharks won the flag and WA won the Sheffield Shield following that, but I get the feeling God gave me a six month grace to get back together with her.

Since then my two favourite teams have got nothing. This year, I’ve been to two Sharks games and lost them both. Well, I’m going to Shark Park tomorrow and if we can’t win this one then I’m swapping clubs. Looking for suggestions of clubs to join in case the worst happens tomorrow. I’m thinking Subi but with the right monetary incentive I’m prepared to go elsewhere, except South. That was my dads team and I’d rather submit the Sharks to eternal damnation than to cheer on puppy dogs.

I’m sure I can bring a premiership to some worthy WAFL club.

We don't work that way, mate, but considering we've never beaten West Coast, we'll take the 4 points. 

I also notice that Jr wasn't even in the squad this week- Burton in and Jr nowhere to be seen- hope Bill is ok

Geez WCE are decimated with injuries, can't see that many top ups playing though....were Ah Chee and O'Neill included in the 24 that flew out on Fri?......if so then that must be the weakest WCE team ever on paper....Geez if we lose here, Bill is gone I reckon....no matter how many wins he might conjure up over the next few weeks.....as KC said, need the four points more then anything else...SF, Cl and Subi would be odds on for a three figure winning margin....not so EF.....

Well we need all the support we can get so it would be a shame to lose you, or any fan for that matter, to another club. I think you should be right but I would remind you that joining our less successful cross town neighbors is a divide you just don't cross. You can't go to $ubi for obvious reasons (they train too hard) plus they have the worst colours and kit in the comp - seriously who wears maroon?.

The 3 Perth clubs are out. East Perth are just feral. The invoice dodging garlic munchers up in Joondalup would be even worse - always getting a ride from the umpires. Here is a good example. Notice where the late great EFFC team of the century wingman Christopher Mainwaring is awarded his free kick and then see where the man (or more accurately the men) on the mark are by the time he takes his kick. The umpires are willing participants in this terrible injustice.



Going to the Demons would defeat the purpose of jumping ship because they have not made the finals in a proper season since even before you left your wife.

Peel should be kicked out of the comp so that leaves the pretty college boys or salt of the earth Swan Districts. Really there is no choice. They are a bit common but its a convivial enough atmosphere out there at Bogandean. In the unlikely event we should lose today I would say go to the mighty fighting black and whites. To Em, that made me laugh and was actually brilliant advice. Living in Maylands so getting to Basso is way easier. We lose today and I will be knocking on Swannies door on Monday to sign up.

ST...unless you drive an old commodore, have teeth missing, wear flannel shirts, a packet of Winnie reds up your sleeve and drink VB, you won't fit in mate.  Far better off at the home of the mighty Lions.  In fact, I'll buy you a beer at the first home game you attend.
