Good article on the EF precinct plans...every working party jumping on board, something for young and old, sporty and non sporty...no mention of a toilet tho, but one would hope after all the whinging by MO, DD et al that will be a given....

Great work by the club to instigate this. Lots of planning that has come to fruition.

This part of the report was interesting.

Overwhelmingly, community participants did not support sale of local public open space to pay for WAFL club facilities.It will be important for a diversity of funding options to be explored to establish upgraded facilities for the East Fremantle Football Club within the precinct, recognising the wider, regional role of the club within the WAFL. The vision responds by confirming the sporting role of the precinct, with adaptive options should it be a home or training ground for the East Fremantle Football Club.

Sounds like redevelopment of EF Oval in it's current form is far from locked in. Might need another GFMP.

The community just isn’t interested in wafl footy. There was a moment there but gone now. Lathlain was bulldozed through by wce money and sexiness. Claremont by money. Otherwise it’s over. Sexiness? Don't kid yourself nothing sexy about Mineral Resources Park just a shit heap with or without the Eagles carbuncle. And how does East Fremantle moving to Mandurah make sense? Sounds like the Demons moving from proxy status to full alignment with the Eagles is the more likely scenario. Maybe then we might even see a scoreboard put up at MRP.
