I read a bit about this in the past, but this article is more descriptive. How much more cheating have Perth been in over the years? Should it be EF 30 flags, PFC 6?

That's a great story. The interesting thing was that all the umpires were overruled when they stated categorically that the whistle was blown prior to the bell. The appeals hearing did appear biased in favour of Perth as it seemed to be a bit of a circus of the celebrities of the time. A very dodgy hearing.
The stupid thing was that the free kick was given just before half time so that even if that goal was disallowed at the time, the 2nd half may well have played out differently but with the same result. Perth did offer for the game to be replayed but fair to say that EF got their retribution ( and some) in the 4 years following that game. Seemed to be more about betting and politics than football.

So what if it happened 110 years ago - why should you decide what can and can't be discussed. I mean that in the nicest way possible too STT because the contribution of Mineral Resources fans is greatly appreciated.

I can remember this story from reading Jack Lee's outstanding book "Old Easts" - and it was clearly a travesty of justice that needs to be dealt with. At the very least we should be awarded a retrospective flag. I say very least because there is clearly a case for stripping one from MRP's meager tally.

Have Perth only won 7 flags?...and they played in the 1907 GF!...FMD they have won more spoons than flags...now that is farking funny....

i am surprised you are not watching the 1977 GF replay over on the WA Footy Facts website - from memory Perth's last finals appearance.

Wow, that’s a stat I missed. No wonder the Perth boys are so tetchy. Winning breeds winners and.......
