the point being the water on the ground was reminicent of that 78 grand final. just phenomenal.

it was the greatest grand final for some, unlike 1976 :( of course.

on another note i loved the strip east fremantle wore last night. it is far better than the one they wear today. maybe they should go with it during the wafl season?

fantastic effort by the boys last night in the worst conditions that i have ever seen at subi oval.
everyone did their job very well and they were a credit to the club.
jardine,I totally agree with you as far as the jumpers go,I would like to see the current jumper as our home strip for all three grades and last nights jumper as an away strip.watching the norwood game the jumper looked great but seeing them live they looked bloody sensational!

if claremont beat west adelaide the GF would have to be at subi,if west adelaide win it will probably be in adelaide.

Yeh your right mate.. I thought all the grounds were pre booked.. Now they have had 2 games at Patterson so depending on the mentality of Foxtel could be interesting to see where its played. Lets remember WP played Werribee last year as a game before the Dockers v Richmond game at the MCG.. The WPFC was wrapped in that arrangement as it game our guys a chance to experience the MCG.
Anyway will wait and see after the results are known.
Crowds mean nothing to the Foxtel as it is a TV only game really. Entry to the games are Free :)

Looking foward to Aug 6..

Good site for Foxtel info is at
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_Foxtel_Cup

A REPLAY OF THE GAME IS ON THE FOXTEL SITE DOWN THE PAGE..You can also watch how the other teams went.. Was a good stream last year and no pauses

EF V WERRIBEE IS ALREADY UP :) All quarters

Yeh, sorry. Getting a bit ahead of myself, but I thought I heard one of the commentators say something about EF/C GF - need to clean my ears.
As for the EF jumpers - I agree with others. Arguably the best strip for some time. Be good if they adopt that one.

I'm a West Adelaide supporter....so I would love an EF v West Adelaide final. Great win by the club against a Victorian side used to playing in the rain and with a few AFL listed boys in the ranks......but hey how many times has EF fielded 9 AFL boys in the WAFL and not won!!!.....too many for my liking!

ROB and McGough have been fantastic for EF this year.....great to see Howlett taking up the senior role with Dodd out injured.....finally Howson gets a gig.....not the perfect game to debut in, but congrats to the kid anyway.

Enjoy the rest boys.....big game again v Subi.....starts all over again.....Cl and Subi to win this weekend and then EF are only 1 game out of the four......rather 1 game then 2.......saying that if EF are gonna play finals then they really need to step up and win all their remaining games TBH.....huge ask.....but for now enjoy the Foxtel win....

likewise freezin i have been west adelaide fan forever. i have no idea why or how but since i was a young fella. but from a west aussie viewpoint it would be great to have an all wafl final. would stick it up a few across the boarder.

for those lucky enough to have foxtel, the comp is a fantastic boost for state league football. fox give it great coverage with very respectable commentators. the main afl shows also give it credit occasionally especially on tuesday nights when the games are on. also they give it wonderful advert promotions during the week.

i think it could grow if persisted with. a wonderful innovation by foxtel.
and great to watch mature age footballers, many of which should be playing afl football
well done foxtel - best of luck to east fremantle and claremont if they make it

Now for the GF...we owe the Tiges a couple, hope we can repay them in the big one. EF v Clare - how good is WA footy?

always a wrap for tom howlett.unfortunately got ruined by one coaches obsession with instant success by non zone recruiting.can see the difference this year with several local players getting a game without non zoners restricting their progress.point in case is arthur bennell who was held back by the recruitment of kyanga.was always going to be a better foot baller.i hope tommy gets a chance of being drafted but hope we get some of the draft fee if he makes it.

don't worry tom wouldn't want one cent to go to ep
