Thank you, starting to play a bit more to our DNA. Butchering the football but we are hard to play against. WP never quit to their credit but we deserved the win.

Too good, we were shit again, reminiscent of Rounds 1-4. We need to off load Kietel, Lourey, Medhat and any other tall that wanders into the forward line as we do not use them with long penetrating depth kicks. Im not a footy coach but I reckon the 10-15m chip passes backwards or sideways when the opposition haven't got back in numbers is not clever footy :(

It was an intriguing game and I'm glad the siren sounded when it did.
I thought your blokes played their best footy in the first 15 minutes, Leedy.
West Perth seemed to be able to create the loose man pretty easily and their marks stuck, plus a couple of East Perth errors let the Falcons in for easy goals.
I genuinely feared it could be a long day at the office for the Royals.
However, once East Perth got their run going they were able to kick a couple of goals against the run of play.
The Royals should've made more of their opportunities in the third quarter, but booting the first two goals of the last quarter to extend the margin to 24 points was a bridge too far for the Falcons.
Rohan Kerr, after a couple of early errors (perhaps due to nerves), played a superb game against his old club.
I was quite relieved that Andrew Strijk only hit the scoreboard once, while Mitch Dobson with his sure marking and four goals was the best forward afield and proved the difference.
Kyle Anderson was superb in defence - he rarely loses a one-on-one contest and it's a shame he missed the game against South last week.
Ajang Ajang, with his strong ruckwork, wouldn't have done his end-of-season draft prospects any harm.

Kerr would want to lift his rating for $1500 a game !!!

He did struggle early, Leedy, that's for sure.

East Perths victory has packed up the bottom half of the ladder even further. The top 4 teams are pretty well established but there is only 1 game between Peel in 5th and East Freo on the bottom. This means the season is still alive for every side.

At least he will get paid Leedy. Seriously though 3-4 thousand a game is a top line WAFL player.

Mike, given Subi and South are unlikely to drop too many games from here, you'd think that eight wins and a good percentage will get a team into fifth spot.
In such a topsy-turvy season, if a team from 5th thru' to 10th can win four games on the trot at some stage they'd be favoured to sneak in.
Given your Swans' season of near misses so far, percentage is in their favour if they start converting narrow losses into victories.
I didn't know what to expect of this season from East Perth, but we've proving to be competitive which is all a supporter can expect after the turmoil of the alignment.
Anything beyond that (finals) would be a bonus, but stranger things have certainly happened in this glorious game of ours.

EP are difficult to beat at home ADGM, as we discovered in round 2.....Great effort against the Falcons today.
