Great to see colts and ressies win and although I only saw the first quarter of the colts due to another matter I am told that they played well but really kicked on in the latter part of the third and last quarters. Whilst we miossed Scott Jones in the ruck young Moody (son of .... ) played well enough to show he will be a very good back up in future games.

Ressies played well and scored the win on the back of a lot of colts from last year. Well done boys.

Grump how do you feel about the alignment? Do you expect a significant number of those colts' and reserves' players to find new homes next year?

I am not overjoyed at the alignment and will wait and see the outcome over the next few years on both EP and the WAFL, something had to happen and it happened to us. I will always maintain other wanted it just as much if not more!

But back to the boys in the Ressies and Colts, I think that there is a concerted effort at the club now to not recruit outside unless the need is dire and we will not be able to cover it from inside or through the alignment.

Given the current crop of ressies and the current group of colts I think that we will not need to go anywhere to get players.

As for players leaving, yes I can see it happening but I think it will be the c graders and a few b graders who leave, the better players will stay and from what I hear play in the best team available to them.

Would this turnover happen with the alignment or without it, the answer for me is that it will always happen and that is what a health organisation does!

Grump, I'm hoping that the WAFL will put a limit of 11 AFL listed players to be included in a 22 man East Perth or Peel league side in 2014.

It would mean 5 or 6 AFL listed players might play reserves some weeks but so be it. Same game plan in the EP ressies I imagine and game plan was the whole issue according to Worsfold and Nisbett.

This would at least allow the best EP kids to have a chance of playing league football and it would be fair to other WAFL clubs.

However, if perchance Peel does not make the finals in the league or ressies and Freo are in the finals under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should any of those Freo players, aligned to Peel, be allowed to play in any WAFL finals, league or reserves, for any other WAFL clubs. Similarly, if that were to occur for West Coast and the club formerly known as East Perth.

Also, if retribution is exacted by the AFL club(s) by not allowing other AFL players play for their 2013 WAFL club an immediate fine of $100,000 per player per match should be levied against that AFL team and paid in total to the affected WAFL club.

This round will answer a lot of questions actually. How many WCE/FD dockers players will be released to play in the WAFL this weekend.

I'm going to add them up after the round and then see how many would have been playing for Peel and East Perth under the 2014 scenario if you know what I mean.

And the number of Freo and West Coast Eagles who will pack the rafters watching their WAFL aligned clubs. If you are going to either of those matches you kight have to get there before the colts' matches finish as I am sure they will have to shut the gates with the influx of AFL members watching their WAFL aligned club.

What happened Swan, you step in dog turds or get hit by a hornets nest. You went from being someone asking a rational question to being just another bitter and twisted person who wants rant and be vitrolic about the process.

There still is a club called East Perth and until it ceases to exist then at least pay us the courtesy of not suggesting anything else. If and when we do a West Perth and change our identity and nickname into something that is just a vassel of a State Government agency and the JCC then and only then heap your rubbish on that entity and I will join you.

The club we all knew and respected HAS ceased to exist grump! The current club is hanging on to the coat tails of the former great club called East Perth! Give 'us' the courtesy??? Got to be kidding when your own president didn't give you any say in the matter!! What about his courtesy to you??!! The old chesnut 'if it wasnt us someone else would have' does not make you any better!! RIP East Perth!
