I remember reading his book as a youngish fella back in the mid 80s, it was written from his point of view and must have been published in the 60s ireckon. Never been able to find a copy since. Was a great read about a golden era. Think it might have been titled my life as a footballer by jack sheedy

He certainly was a character of the game.
