Been hearing rumors and reading on other forums that Adam Selwood is pressing for Dawsons job. Interested in opinions on this one.

Does make sense. WCE would no doubt prefer to have a coach there who works to on field structure and set ups etc. Dawson still has some autonomy and that might be causing some issues. Given he lost the 2 flags will surely see him under a great deal of pressure.
Don't know which way to go on this one. Will they risk missing another one under Dawson?

Dawson is only doing it for the money anyway, he gave up coaching 3-4 yeara ago and said he would not coach again. He could not give a crap about East perth, he was put in place by the EAgles.

It will make no difference who the coach is, it will still be Saturday game day training for the Eagles in an east perth jumper.

GWS, not sure if Dawson is "doing it for the money", as it is not a huge paying job and he does do quite well within his own profession.

Many people leave footy thinking they have had enough, only to realise they miss it greatly. I would expect that Dawson saw an opportunity to get another accolade (being a flag) and that the invitation from EPFC would have been hard to pass up.

I do agree somewhat that he does not have to much loyalty to the EPFC, but realistically that is not why he was hired. The reason he was hired was to win them a flag and he has had 2 strikes at that, hence the reason I believe he will be on very fragile ground. And why I think the Selwood rumour is a definite possibility.

GWS my understanding wa that he stopped coaching to pursue some higher level study and teaching role, does he do it for the money he may well see it as a supplement to his UWA tenure but seeing him around the club and the way the colts boys talk about him I would say he also does it for the pleasure it gives him in developing players and the 'combat' of game day!

Dawse being paid by WCE-suspect it would be on a hefty wage too, every one on the AFL gravy train is

Not sure if Dawson is being paid directly from the Eagles exactly, but I do know all the east perth coach and player payments are being handled by the Eagles accounts department.
