in colts football, that a team does not score a goal in a game.

I would never take anything away from the boys, they played so very well, great team play, hard aggressive attack on the ball and play with the ball. The EP boys showed how well they have grown into the coaches game plan, the style of football expected and the hard running that wins games.

However I did feel a tad sad for the Peel boys, they tried hard but just weren't able to get into the game. It makes me wonder why a club with their district and support from the Commission can actually have such a poor development process.

Back to EP, for me best players were Tyler Keitel, Kester Decke, Linford Smith with great support again from Shane Hille. The backline was dominant in their rebound and ability to cover ground and pressure Peel into fundamental errors.

Kane Hadden was the recipient of the Melbourne based past players country support award. Helps his Dad with the petrol. The award was made by Glen Bartlett and is collect by donations from past players like Brownie, Phil Kelly and others.

It was very disappointing to see Zac Dent have to go to hospital and get news of a fairly severe AC shoulder injury.

I don't comment here often abt the league but again two more Colts products of recent times made their debuts, great work Beau Chatley and Julian Amerduri well deserved boys, following Thomas Shanahan last week.

Grump what was the go with the Peel Colts? Did they have players promoted to reserves and thus lacked their regular better players to explain their disastrous scoreline? When I've seen them this season they've been competitive so strange to see such a miserly score, particularly when they had nearly 30 inside 50s.

Peel had 10 playing up; 7 reserves and 3 league who were Hancock, Winton and Walsh. Also have injuries. With Peel you also find that if they aren't in contention a lot of the kids would rather play in the Peel or South West leagues.

I had to laugh when reading the Slimes this morning it had printed in the scores for the EP vs Peel Colts game under the goalscorers for Peel in their score of 0.5 as.....unavailable!

Maybe they should have listed the point scorers. There's a guy called Rushed who shows some potential

I think you are spot on and that is a bit worrisome for the club, rather play elsewhere when the cause is a bit lost or hard.

As some one has said earlier players up and gone, but we did play very well and the inside 50 count is balance by our rebound play.

Thanks Mikeh, yeah first time in 7 years and really pleased with the whole colts effort. Will be a good game this weekend against Claremont, neaten them twice this year and so hoping for the run to continue into the finals.

Is it his grandfather the oval is named after Rushed(ton), such a dad joke but ......
