Was bloody hot, but both teams gave a good account of themselves in the heat.

WP seemed to go into the first half with a weaker team and paid the price with the EP boys running to a 6 or 8 goal lead at half time, did this by using the game plan and the their running ability. The WP tried and kicked 2 goals for the half.

Second half WP change a few (I thing abt 8 or 10) we did not change any players. The WP changes had an immediate effect with them kick 4 goals in quick succession. The EP boys gathered themselves and played a bit of tempo footy (slow) and regained their plan. We went on to win by 9 goals and it was a good win given that it was the plan and style that really was the difference.

Growler, Grump is referring to the colts. The EP boys won overall on the scoreboard but it was clear that WP played close to 50 or 2 separate teams with their weaker team easily beaten by EP in the first half by around 10 goals to 2 goals however WP's stronger team won the second half by around 5 goals to 3 goals. WP probably could've kicked 10 in the second half if they had taken advantage of the amount of ball they had and the tiring EP side who played around 24 in total. The remainder of their list played in an average game in tough hot conditions against the EP 16's development squad. Good on the boys for getting through.
