It seems that Claremont have too much depth at all levels, and don't get into the old furphy abt zones. They are just better at the development and retention processes.

Good things for me were that our somewhat depleted colts team stayed with their team for 3 quarters but the waterman and co just found that bit more class and strength, well done to them. For us Mr Wilson and the rest of the backline showed great poise even in the last when they were being overwhelmed, Giblett once again showed why he will play league and did the same.

Only saw a little of the ressies but Thomas Shanahan played up from colts and played very well, 21 possessions is a fair indication of what he has to offer at a higher level.

Oh well back to Subiaco for the first time in weeks, hopefully Subi did not make the ground worse than it was on Thursday.

Thing is Grump, Cl have a shed load of players who are great at the WAFL level but not so great at the next level......thus even when they do get drafted, they don't play much for WCE or Freo or get delisted within 1 - 2 years.......plus they have a knack of attracting good players from else where.....Blackwell, Foster and Seaby of late.....Cl reserves are struggling this year though......always hope Cl will come back to the field.....plus their league keep winning but look more vulnerable compared to last year

I agree but for us, especially at Ressies and colts levels they seem to be the Bogeys and they can find the extra to win or demolish us.

As for their attraction of other players, when a club consistently runs at a loss inspite of their consistent draft crop and significant sponsors ......... .

oops last time I saw anything there was a small loss, but with the new sponsors that probably turned around, sorry for the incorrect statement
