I bet EP and Peel for that matter won't have double byes next year and so on. Will the G7 clubs knock back requests to play eagles and freo players in their reserves? Wellingham will play ressies for Claremont tomorrow. He's not playing for bottom placed Peel as per the rules for obvious reasons but why isn't he then playing for West Perth who are lower than Claremont on the ladder? It's easier no doubt.

i don't think the eagles want their golden boys to drive all the way down to mandurah just for a reserves game.he might lose some beauty sleep.as for the double bye it would have been better if the eagles had thier own side in the comp.we would have a ten side comp and no bye.the double bye will be a problem next year for both afl teams if it happens.the other problem with each side having aligned teams is that if you have three ruckmen at peel or the royals it will be hard to develop them by giving them time.early in the year sinclair was rucking against lycett and you could get a handle on who should be playing when nic nat was injured.
