The East Perth Football Club has undergone a comprehensive auditing process over the past six months, which the club is pleased to report has been completed without findings of any salary cap breaches or major sanctionsAs part of this process, a breach of the Total Player Payment regulations was identified with regard to a Fringe Benefit Payment made to a player in the 2023 season. That amount of this payment has been retrospectively included in the club's 2023 TPP submission. With this payment included, the Club's TPP amount was still within the WAFL’s salary cap amount. The club has accepted a fine of $2,000 in relation to the undeclared amount.  The FBT was excluded under the advice of the Club’s former bookkeepers. The Club has since employed the services of a new bookkeeper and accounting processes have since been updated to ensure this does not happen in the future. The club thanks its members and supporters for their patience throughout this lengthy process.

You can have him,he’s ok as a home away  midfielder, and if your club god forbid  manages. to play finals, you’ll find he’s as slow as a wet week.

He will be in the next day or two DF now this investigation is over. Contract already signed and boy this guy might be the best kick in the club from what I saw yesterday.

Just as i thought,a minor misdemeanour and a 2k fine is all that we deserved, with no premiership or player point cap deductions.
The NO points is purely off the back of Perth's great escape, if Perth got points, the Ferals would have too.

You are completely wrong in trying to compare the two breaches..
Perth got a $25k fine payable, 8 premiership points (suspended), 15 player points penalty (10 suspended).
East Perth fined $2000 and no premiership points or player point cap deductions deducted or suspended.
Obviously Perth's breach was more serious

Simple fact is with the 'legal breech' we had no case to answer. The WAFC thought so but turns out they were wrong. The more interesting thing to come out of this is whether the WAFC will clarify this point for the future - ie will they close the door on clubs being able to pay a player's legal fees or allow it?

Our breach was not for the Randall legal  matter. At the AGM it was stated that even the AFL had ok'd it..The breach as was stated was to do with payment to do with some of  Angus Schumacher's medicals bills .

A breach of the Total Player Payment regulations was identified with regard to a Fringe Benefit Payment made to a player in the 2023 season.
