Good fit to appoint a Queen in charge of the Royals.

It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

It will be easier transition for the players already knowing the coach going into next year.Hopefully he will be able to develop some of our colts as i am not confident we will be able to improve our list by just  recruiting.

Very good, DD.
Ross McQueen was a good developer of young players at Claremont, so that augurs well for some of the colts who are eligible for the senior side next year.
However, the club will need to be active on the recruiting front, with experienced key-position players at each end of the ground a must.
But I think most clubs have the same "wish list".

Seems to be the logical common sense decision made.

A very strange decision, especially when you consider that Pickering was a candidate for the job,who despite what the Swans board think, has proven himself to be a capable coach at this level by steering Swans to a finals berth in 2021 where they were very unlucky to lose to joondalup, and this year finished a  creditable 10 wins from 18 games which included victories over 4 of the top 5 finals bound sides.

RL: Yes, appointing colts coaches has become a bit of a fad, too. Do you remember the great Eddie Pitter? He coached Subi in the late eighties after the Royals.

Yes  Ark the late great Eddie Pitter was reknowned as a tough task master, and i think Shane Cocker recounted how Eddie gave him a clip behind the ears to keep his mind on thejob at training,in his early days at the Royals, which of course was before he made the switch to the lions with the host of oher Royals players.

Yes, very, very happy to sign Mitch Crowden, SS.
We (East Perth) usually miss out when the likes of Subi and South are also in the race to sign a former AFL player.
I guess there's always the chance that Crowden could be picked up by another AFL club.
However, the fact that he's signed with the Royals before the AFL draft perhaps indicates that he's ruled that option out.
