After a number of weeks of not playing to our potential the boys played well on Monday to have a somewhat convincing win against the WP colts.

The game was hard and played in good spirit by both sides but we just had the better players on the day.

I thought that our best was Tom Shanahan, Tyler Keitel and Jack Gare with most others doing their bit and job. Josh Reeves played his first game, came up from Deanmill (or Manjimup) for a TAFE course and played very well, enough to suggest that he should come up more often.

Well done to the WP best player Ash Smith, first game and BOG for Cardinals was a great effort.

The after game awards was added to by Glen Bartlett presenting the Melbourne Royals award for a country player to Clayton Giblett, he travels up very week to play. The Melbourne Royals is made of all the ex EP players living in Vic, Borownie Michael Christian, the Barnards, Phil Kelly and others. They want to recognise the tiome and effort involved with the Country boys and their Colts football.

Agree Grumpy the colts boys really played to their true potential and totally dominated the game for all 4 quarters. Very pleasing to see Clint manage to turn around the season and give our boys some hope and a slim chance for that 4th spot.

I Hope some of these boys continue to develop nicely as footballers before pulling on the Black & White jumper next year grump!! ;)
