Maybe we can recruit  players of the calibre of of Kane Munro,David Antonowicz, Michael O'brien and Jeremy Humm who according to some very astute judges catapulted us to some extraordinary success, and maybe we can once again play in front of those 30,000 plus crowds which are numbers we haven't seen since 2000 and 2002,and with players of this ilk we won't be requiring coaches of the quality of Tony Micale.because our side will be travelling in absolute AUTOPILOT.!!!!

You believe whatever helps you through, RL. The rest of us will look at the fact that in 1999, EP won 5 games with a % of 66 (ahead of only a winless Peel, who you beat 3 times), then went onto finish on top and win the flag the very next year. We will ask ourselves what the variable was from one year to the next and form our own conclusions.

Yeah funny that teddy boy especially when we went on a eight match unbeaten run in 1998 and played finals, but i don't suppose injuries, player and coach disharmony and your best defender returning to Colllie would have had anything to do with it,and how the aligned Claremont missed the finals in 1999 with those hall of famers at their disposal is anyones guess.

Very keen Ted to hear your learned in depth analysis of what went wrong at fully aligned Tigers who  unbeknowns to them, had 6 future dual premiership players within their ranks, along with the other 10 eagle rejects, although losing to lowly East Perth at the last ever game at Perth Oval, may have influenced their decision, but boy o' boy they would've been kicking themselves.

Yes TN, an in depth analysis of every game and player required because the alignment with eagles was irrelevant and only such an analysis will reveal this.

Then please analyse your assertion that the earth is round . Can’t wait for that one!!

RL, if you want to rationalise it from your perspective of the quality of the Eagles players rather than the reality of twice selling out, suit yourself. But it's attitudes like yours that make me think another alignment would be accepted by most EP fans IF it brought success. Look at this way. The Eagles reserves team currently only only have about 8 players turning out each week. So if you guys were aligned, I imagine you would say "Vardy and Hutchings and Ah Chee are washed up, Trew is just a kid, O'Neill and Brander are just average fringe players, Caneron and Jones are flashy types who go missing for much of the game, so our success is all down to Dobbo and Blee and Ramsay and Jonesey." On the other hand, of course, if you weren't successful, then it would be the fault of those AFL hacks blocking the pathway for all the talented EP juniors. Try looking at it from the perspective of integrity, credibility and independence and you might see things differently. Got to be a line in the sand, my friend, no alignment, on principle, under any circumstances rather than convincing yourself that past alignments haven't really mattered if you think about it enough.

i'm sorry Ted but you need to let go  of your alignment obsession and could you please condense your rambling diatribe because i have a very short attention span, and do'nt have the time or inclination to respond to someone scarred by years of failure.

I can summarise for you bud.

When an EPFC supporter is attacked over the alignment they should just say ‘sorry sorry’ with a hand in the air and shuffle off. What else can you do? Cheats.

Past your bedtime STT and your alter ego Ted, it should've been lights out on Brockway road an hour ago.

Don’t know why you guys get so excited. Claremont South Fremantle and Peel have also gone down this path.

That’s basically half the comp. It is not as if you are special, there are cheats everywhere.
