East Perth legend passed away recently.

Think he was first even EPFC to kick 100 plus goals in a season, but his true position was full back.

4 state games.

Worked with him, a very modest bloke about his sporting achievements easy going and laid back.

Sad news Bazza and Bill played a little bit before my time, but i've noticed he was a premiership team mate of the recently departed Tony ''Monty''Bellos.

Lovely bloke, sorry to read on here of his passing. A standout for me.
His story appeared on this site some time ago, but have re-submitted it if anyone is interested. A good insight into a good bloke.

Yes Mate, that's a great write up on Bill, he was very modest about his achievements and I remember times I would want to know all about his WAFL time and he would casually say, "actually I always preferred cricket".

When I worked with him at central year ago I remember going to a brawl at the old Beaufort Hotel with him, cool as a cucumber sorting things out and another funny night we got called to a gay lovers domestic in North Perth, after we went back to the car Bill being a 1950s sort of a bloke, said , ."..well I reckon those two blokes are a little bit different, if you know what I mean."

My old man ran the old Beaufort hotel in the early 70's for a couple of years for Rod Evans and i recall as a 6 or 7 year old kid the many fracas there, and i remember the Hofbrauhaus theme bar with the beers served in those big German mugs.

Long gone now but was Corner of Beaufort and Newcastle, opposite Stirling Square, now a modern Coles building, The place used to attract all the flotsam and jetsam of what was a pretty dodgy area Rod Evans had it along with the Carlton.

The Beaufort and Norwood popular with East Perth fans back in the heyday of WANFL.
