Well that was a pleasant way to spend a Saturday, good weather, good company and a nice cold one at half time, oh oops it is abt the football.

Well we look like having a really good colts season. the players showed a great team effort against the perenial finalists Claremont. We have a couple of very good players and one who if he stays fit and healthy might be worth others Watching, Ethan Regan looks to me to a be a player and when you add players like Harbour, Amiss and Tetlow  we are tracking ok.

The reserves was an ok game with 18 of the players on the field being colts from last year. One player worth a mention is Nicholas Merrit (ex Peel) did well and showed some good signs, another is Kalani Brooks again good skills and he is growing into the bigger bodied game (he still qualifies for colts), other remember his dad Nathan.

The league game was, was, was ........... . When Claremont play WP it will be even money. Yes we had players out but apart from Taylor North, the dobbo for some of the game and Jones there was not a lot to like abt how we went abt it but that does detract from Claremont who were good.

Thanks for your summary, Grump.
I only saw the second half and agree that Claremont was very good.
What concerned me was how the Tigers kicked 3-4 goals going from coast-to-coast without an East Perth player touching the ball.
However, I'd expect to see a marked increase in the Royals' intensity once the season proper begins and the likes of Jackson Ramsay, Matt Young and Angus Schumacher (when fully fit) return.
I thought Sebit Kuek - though still lightly framed - did some useful things up forward.

Yep the players coming bak will make a difference, one suggestion is that they been trained hard upto this week and it will lighten off now and be in maintenance mode, mmmm perhaps a straw went past and it was clutched at, we will see come Friday

Two teams playing at different intensities.  Claremont look solid without much star power.  We look to lack the skill and hardness to worry better teams. Hope to be proven wrong.
