Sounds like Dobson has been in poor form but I am happy he is not playing, key defenders are a weakness for us and he demands a quality defender with strength.

Claremont might just have one or two too many danger players for East Perth - Tigers by 26 points

What a pathetic effort by East Perth. You kick 7 second quarter goals, up by 19pts at the half, then a 54pt turn around to the Tigers made the contest a drubbing.

Extremely pathetic performance. One of the worst second half performances in East Perth history. Hold your head in shame East Perth.

You're not wrong there, Durtle, the boys produced a woeful second half.
After booting seven goals to three in a champagne second quarter, I think they thought the win would just happen.
I expected Claremont to come out firing in the second half, but thought if we played with the same intensity against the breeze in the third quarter as we had in the first, we'd still be in front at three-quarter-time.
The Tigers had 308 possessions to our 215, but I reckon they had double the amount of the ball than us in the second half.
I reckon we went in one midfielder short and it showed at the stoppages where Claremont slaughtered us.
Sadly, they had a greater hunger for the contest.
There's an alarming gap between our very best and our very worst football which, quite frankly, is dreadful.

our midfield is just underperforming.two weeks in a row we have been smashed in the clearances.no point having two ruckmen in the team.i think we need to ditch a tall.freeman to stay in and simpson to pinch hit as a back up.i'd rather have dobbo back even in poor form.neither ajang or kuet deserve a game on form.if cahill, rudrem are fit they come straight back in.also bring back gorter.backline were woeful especially second half.only highlight for me was that freeman looked all right with limited chances but can we get the ball inside fifty more times.what role was amerduri playing.hardly noticed him.if he was tagging it didn't work.another disaapointing game

EP had a favourable run with the umpires, and kicked straight for goal. The true nature of the game was shown, in that, even allowing for the two factors previously mentioned, the Tigers still had more scorring shots at half-time.

Ark, with all due respect, I don't know if receiving only 10 free kicks to Claremont's 21 constitutes a "favourable run with the umpires".
I know it's not always "how many" but "where", but the only fortunate decision I can recall is Matthew Young receiving a 50m penalty that took him from the 50m arc to the goal-line.
However, I certainly agree that East Perth's straight kicking perhaps flattered us (being the Royal "we"), reflective of the Tigers having 45 inside-50s to 23 and winning the possession count convincingly (308-215).

Well I got to the oval and sat to watch the colts game which reslted in a win for the Tigger cubs, The boys did actually play well but Claremonts skills and efficiency were just that much better than ours. Two interesting players for Claremont, Zac Mainwaring and Logan Guelfi both of whom look the goods.

The ressies was a very good effort against a team that looked to me should have won more games, We held on due to a couple of players, Shaq McKenzie looked to grow into the game along with Mitchell Dobson who looked good i the middle especially in the last quarter where his strength and bullocking was a crucial factor. Undefeated and looking good with ALL of the parts doing their job!

Wow the league side started so well, holding the opposition in the first term to a reasonable score and then in the second kicking well with the breeze, at last Robertson was in the middle with Schumacher and Lynch and it showed! BUT what happened next was gut wrenching we just disappeared from the contest, players who had picked up possessions in the first half just disappeared, we panicked and just simply go over run by a side who decided to put us under pressure, we folded! Look at the stats and see how many tigers had 10 or more possessions (and yes I am not a big wrap for high possession counts). When a TEAM does that it means something and somewhere someone in our process failed to deal with it to the required degree!

To me it reflects on a systematic issue of process that is not working and the little bits of hearsay would suggest that questions are being asked!
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

AD -- fair enough, mate; I also did not mean to suggest that some of the frees EP got in the forward line, were not justified, as some certainly were.
