Bit of chat that Rance may have done a Carey down a Richmond.....very disappointing if true....recent retirement, followed by marital separation and little fanfare from his former Richmond team mates....bar Rioli and Reiwoldt 3 weeks post retirement....apparently Jack Higgins partner is the talk of Melbourne town...Rance had a stellar career, be sad if true and clouds his reputation... Carey will always be remembered for his poor off field decision making.....

Freezin as I said on the previous post which for some reason you have decided to repeat here, I think we need to be very careful with unsubstantiated rumours which relate to peoples personal lives. I think we are all happy to talk about his football achievements but to draw a line between his and Carey's off field activities is a bit rich I think. These people are entitled to privacy in their personal lives.

Apologies mikeh, didn't see your previous post, my bad...will endeavour to scour the oz footy site in greater depth next time mate....yeah hear what you are saying....don't hang an innocent man until proven guilty..totally agree....didn't think I had done that tho, just merely mentioned inane chat that was already out there on social media about Rance's retirement....As for these guys entitled to their privacy, fully agree, but don't see these same guys shun the publicity when they need it to better themselves personally especially financially......works both ways I guess....but hey let's hope it's all innuendo and unsubstantiated gossip...too good a career to be smeared and stained with that sort of "Carey" on...

Well if there's a thread of truth to it this story will grow legs and probably become the biggest story of the 2020 season which is still 3 or 4 months away.

I've seen a photo of Jack Higgins and his gf somewhere in the last couple of days but didn't bother to read it.

Jeez freez...the PC police are pretty quick to jump on people....by my reading all you did was repeat what is already out there on social media. I can't see where you've made any allegations, confirmed any rumours or made up your mind one way or the other....go figure.

Nothing to do with Political correctness. There is so much rubbish and unsubstantiated stuff on social media that to rely on it for accurate information is problematic. In the course of my work I have seen people absolutely destroyed and in some cases self harm over rumours and innuendo spread online. Often the power of this rubbish is created by people regurgitating gossip until it is almost accepted as fact. I would not like any of my family and friends caught up with this. Yes Rance is a retired AFL player and therefore a public figure of interest but he is also entitled to his privacy and not to have his personal life scrutinised by people who don't know him.
