You would have to think it’s Lyons job if he wants it after Rhys Shaw walked out in staggering fashion. I know a North supporter who said he’ll tear up his membership if Ross Lyon got offered the job last year.

As he demonstrated at Freo DD, Lyon is not a rebuilding coach and that's what North Melbourne need right now. They would be better off appointing a current assistant coach looking for an opportunity.

Cant see Ross wanting to rebuild any team. North cut/retired 11 & Brown will also go. North will take over 5 years to even think about finals. Not Ross's option. Has Worsfold returned yet? Most assistant's at North got the boot & Blakey arrived from Sydney as an assistant. Maybe a Paul Roos is needed.
