Wildcats came from behind to win a high scoring contest at the horribly newly named WA High Performance Centre. Only 3000 so called diehard Red Army fans turned up, that's 1500 empty seats. Strange. Anyway in my opinion there was more atmosphere there and the crowd seemed louder than a 13,000 packed out RAC ARENA.

Never been to RAC Arena I reckon it's ugly with those kacky blue seats and patterns. Keanu Pinder played the game of his life, ironically where his disgraced father Tiny Pinder once played.

If you've never been to RAC Arena how could you possibly say that 3,000 spectators at a 2/3rds full WAHPC was a better atmosphere than a sell out 13,000 at RAC??

It sounded louder and the commentators said it felt more intimidating than RAC because the fans were closer. Maybe because the roof is a lot lower the sound is compacted into a smaller space.

Sorry DD but Perth Arena absolutely shits on the old Mt Claremont Superdrome both for atmosphere and comfort let alone ease to get too being located within walking distance of Perth Station, Perth Underground and the Perth Bus Station.
Im not surprised less than 3000 turned out last night Mt Claremont is dreadful to drive in and out of after an event with a crowd and poor public transport.
It would be like comparing Perth Stadium to the old dilapidated Subiaco Oval.

Why where talking Wildcats.
Rac areana is a fantastic venue.Go to a couple of home games a season. The good location makes for a train trip into the city.
Trying to remember when the Rac Areana, opened.Maby 2009-10,years over schedule and lots of millions over budget.
Guessing the Widcats pay, north of $150,000  for each home game. The state governments investment in Rac Areana has probably in the black now. Thanks to the Wildcats.
How about the bloke thats not good enough to play for Australia.Bryce Cotton the NBL MVP.
The basketballs Brownlow Medal.Over 40 points scored in half a dozen matches. The blokes an apsolute freak of a player.

an American game that over the years I've only sort of watched at times
but how BA haven't made sure Bryce Cotton was in green & gold is pure headfuckery at it's finest
they'd have actually done something at the Olympics

Can thank the other yank Brian Goorjian for Bryce Cotton being denied Australian citizenship. He was advised to apply for a special talent visa which he well and truly qualifies for but good old fart Brian simply had to guarantee Cotton would be in the starting 5 for Australia but he refused to. That's why he got knocked back.

Then the immigration department told him he had to apply for this from abroad during Covid. He said he didn't want to do that for fear he wouldn't be allowed back in and he's got a wife and kid here. So the immigration department said there's a way around it. We put you in detention for a couple of hours and we cancel your visa. Technically he was outside the country while he was sitting in detention.

So because Goorjian refused to guarantee he would be in the starting 5 for Australia he was declared an illegal migrant and therefore isn't eligible to apply for Australian citizenship for another 3 years. Yet look at the shit we let in.
