I think regardless of the result of the 2021 grand final series against Melbourne United this year will go down as one of the greatest achievements by the Wildcats. After losing Nick Kay (overseas) Damien Martin (retirement) and losing Majok Majok in pre season then deciding not to take a next star pick to leave room for Miles Plumlee to come back in after the expected citizenship application of Bryce Cotton was expected but didn't eventuate. Then losing Bryce to a season ending and potential career ending injury then Mitch Norton carrying a hip (or groin) injury and still make the grand final is just exceptional.

Despite missing the last was it 5 games Bryce Cotton still wins the league MVP and finally Trevor Gleeson gets recognized after being snubbed during his time at the Wildcats after winning 5 championships in 7 years, finally wins the Most Valuable Coach award. If they defeat Melbourne United it will be even more remarkable. Go Wildcats!

Well done to Bryce Cotton and Trevor Gleeson. Finally both acknowledged for there contribution to Australian basketball..Good news today with T Gleeson committing to a contract extension at the Wildcats.
Real blow not having B Cotton available for Perth in the Grand Finals+the Tokyo Olympics.
Was at the Areana about a fortnight ago now.Melbourne United are very good. There 3 point shooting was excellent that night. But if there off the boil can see the Wildcats challenging strongly.

What’s your thoughts on Will Magnay gtr? I can’t believe this guy made it to the NBA. Looks pretty useless to me. Fouled out in just 11 minutes on court in game 3 against Illawarra.

The Wildcats need to make these games scrappy low scoring affairs. Trev will need to go deep on the bench. I’d like to see him give Jervis, Shervil and others a bit of court time.

Magnay has been a flop, but kudos to the Wildcats for getting to yet another Finals series (35th in a row) and yet another GF after losing Kay, White, Plumlee & Martin from last season's roster plus Majok going down in the preseason & Cotton late in the year.
Unfortunately I think MU might sweep us in the GF with no Cotton available as they have a deep roster, god knows how they fit them all in the salary cap but no doubt helps they have friends in high places at NBL HQ!

Great first half by the Wildcats.Taking a small lead into the second half.Played at a fever pitched pace so far.
