Looks like the Wildcats have lost key players to their recent champioship winning teams in the last two years, Nick Kay and Terrico White looks like they are not returning and Damian Martin has retired.

They pick up ex Hawk Todd Blanchfield who has represented Australia and played for a few NBL clubs. Apparently the Wildcats had been in his ear for a few years. He adds a 200cm shooter to the roster which is quite unique, not something the Wildcats have had in recent times. But finding replacements for all three is going to be tough.

Nick Kay is going to be almost impossible to replace imho, gee he was good for the Cats and consistent every match.
Terrico tended to fire up for the big games but sometimes went missing for others.
Damo was a terrier in defence and they will need Mitch Norton to step up now in his absence.
Blanchfield ive seen play well and poorly so consistency has been an issue in the past for him.
Do we know if the big fella Miles Plumlee is playing for the Cats next year?

I think he might have returned to the US but is still listed as a Perth Wildcats player. Looks like the Wildcats will have to pay a hefty air fare and find a big suite for the big fella to quarantine in for two weeks on his return.

Bogut took him to the cleaners in the first game of the final series but I thought he turned the tables in the next 2 games.

Plumlee's Mrs is from Australia so I thought he might have stayed here but he might have got an offer from one of the G-League sides to be close around the NBA club scouts?

I see the Wildcats have signed 33yo former Sydney Kings, Illawarra Hawks & Adelaide 36ers guard Kevin White today.

Another journeyman Adelaide 36ers captain Kevin White has joined the roster at the back end of his career at 33 years of age but with Damian Martin retiring and Greg Hire the year before it’s probably not a bad thing to gain some hard nosed experience to help bring the young kids along like Travers and others.

Had a tumultuous last year at the 36ers after the fallout from coach Joey Wrights meltdowns. Sounds like he’s pretty keen to put that behind him and taste some success and finish his career on a good note.

Just added power forward Josh Mooney, a 6'9 US college star who is apparently a rebounding machine. He would be awesome with Miles Plummley but sadly it appears he is not returning according to this ESPN story. No mention of Plummley on the Wildcats roster for next season. That leaves us without a 7 footer. We have one more spot on the roster for an import and next generation academy player.

Apparently the NBL season is commencing in January?
Will be interesting to see if the season is cut shorter like the Wafl, or whether a regular season is played and thus finishing later.

I think with the AFL season being pushed back so far along with rugby on the eastern states and Melbourne has a couple of clubs where players have contracted the virus. They probably want to avoid any clash or overlap. I heard they plan on playing 28 games, that sounds like a high number. Not sure what normal season looks like.

Might allow the Wildcats to pick up Miles Plummley as the later start will hopefully allow Bryce Cotton to get his citizenship and become an Aussie.

Heard the season is starting on the 10th of January. The teams will be playing a normal H & A season for the first 5 rounds excepting for the New Zealand team that will be initially based in melbourne due to travel restraints.
