Well a very pleasing start to the year after a successful pre season competition. Thats makes ubs 4 wins in a row....in itself a big achievement for this club.

Giants have been talked up all year as a top 3 top 4 side so i get some good confidence on the year ahead. Even better we can kick 6 goals to 3 qtr time then 6 in the last to win the game. That was impossible a couple ofyears ago. These young guys have a real never give up attitude.

Looks like hogan has taken on the criticism last week and fixed his runup. And how about jack watts. I dont know what roos has done to him but he is playing the best footy of his life and he looks to be enjoying himself.

Essendon next week hopefully a percentage game for us.....

My son has barracked for Melbourne since he was a little tacker and he was very nervous in that last minute you could say. Visions of that St Kilda game last year were coming back to him. Thankfully no repeat. As you said Watts is a completely different player now. Roo's has given him a role which he is obviously enjoying and he has freed himself of the mental pressure that he was obviously putting himself under. Only one game but I think they can be in the mix for the lower half of the 8 if they keep performing like that.

He never touched it before the last quarter. Not sure if this was caused by midfield pressure but once it started coming in he was able to present and take a few good marks all of which were converted.

Big game next week grassy. Still remember the game last year when dees won by a couple of points!
