Mel Whinnen must go close to the biggest gap between his first (1960) and last Premiership (1975) but of course he did play in a couple (69,71) between those 2 as well.
The late great Graham Polly Farmer played in Premierships 15 years apart but with different clubs (EP- 56 & WP- 71).

Feathers played in the '73 flag and then in the '86 flag so a gap of 13 years, not sure if anyone else has matched or "bettered" that.

STT thanks for your kind words and for the good thread. Featherby was a genuine evergreen; he nearly managed another flag in 1988, but finally succumbed to injury. We were very lucky to have Bunton and Featherby comeback to the club.

Michael Tuck would no doubt have a fair range between flags at Hawthorn.

Would have thought the late great Polly Farmer too, flags at East Perth in the 50's and closed out with one at West Perth in 71 - not the same club though.

Mel Whinnen certainly hard to beat on this one - Ron Alexander did alright with East Perth in 72 and the Sharks in 85.
Craig Bradley won one early with Port Adelaide in 80 or 81 and then Carlton in 95.

Remember sitting next to him in the changerooms after a game when I was a kid.
had some great characters back then.
1966 GF his last game.
From memory I think he kicked a goal late in the game.
I know the great Frank Pyke kicked 7 from memory.

One thing is for sure Mel & Pollys 15 year Premiership gap between their first and last will never ever be beaten again in WAFL football.
