Thanks Singha, very interesting with the coach looking for what went wrong in the finals and finding a way to go one better this year

He also mentioned that Twomey had come down for a run and was helping the younger players. Could he be having second thoughts about retirement?.

Cheers Singha..... interesting that Schoey is now full time at Subi and it appears this will definitely be his last year in the WAFL...he's very impressive that's for sure.

I didn't think it was serious but might last a bit longer than that!

Yes BC think Schoey is definitely ready for the AFL but get the feeling the last two runners up results are burning away and he definitely wants another flag before he leaves.

Nasty stutter you've got there Jim ;-) Yes, I think Schoey will do an apprenticeship at AFL level and go onto be Head Coach at senior level. It would be beneficial if he was assistant to a tried and tested senior coach like Chris Scott, Hardwick, Beveridge or Clarko....I'm not sure he's going to learn too much more from a Don Pyke or a Brendon Bolton and for mine the game has gone past Lyon and Simpson...so think he has to go east to progress.

Great that the tribute will be during a Subiaco V Swans match so we can also thank Wayde for the 5 years service he gave to Swans. An interesting fact is that Wayde played in the WAFL for 9 years and the team he was playing for made the finals in every single one of those years. 2008-2010 and 2012-2013 for Swans and 2014 - 17 for Subiaco. That is a record worth boasting about.

Would love to see Schofield coach a lesser quality team than Subi in the WAFL tho to see his true nous as a coach..... obviously he has provided Subi with some good success...but hey Watters did too and when he had reduced quality at St Kilda at his disposal he struggled from memory.....a coach is often as good as his cattle....Subi have had good stock of late
