The Eagles certainly need a player with his ability to mark and kick goals and be an 'X' factor for them in the forward line. Will depend on how he goes in pre- season but I reckon there is definitely a spot there for him and he is good enough no doubt. Certainly was a great draft for Subiaco in general.

Yeh Mike anyone would think they had a shit zone

Swan when we have 3 or 4 taken year in year out like you guys did for several years along with Cl & EF then you may have a point. This year is one out of the box to have 3 local/country boys in the one draft along with Liam.

Swings and roundabouts Freeze, as your rich areas eventually grow out, the draft numbers will drop, Subi has had a standout draft this year but lets average that over the last 10 years and look at those figures. The only club immune to change seems to be Claremont with another 3 boys taken, they seem to have a bottomless pit of young talent.

Claremont clearly have shown the way with consistent success with their development programmes whereas EF have run out of trees that they used to shake and talent would drop out.
Yep, swings and roundabouts Freez.
And Perth just want back one area that was taken from us.

Naagh boys the trees are still bountiful..... this time next year EF will have a couple or more getting lucky on draft day.....Joyce, O'Reilly and Watson....TBH nice to see EF colts win the flag as a team and not reliant on one or two standouts.....though the draft money would of been nice trying to get a Swallow or Palmer over the line......

Touch wood Perth get what they need Smokester.....obviously they have been raped and pillaged by all n sundry over the last few years or more.......all good things come to those who are patient mate!

Patient??? We have been patient for 40 years. The supporters are out of patience and in revolt.

If we get what we need, Swallow and Palmer will play at Lathlain next season together with a few more new faces. But then, pigs don't fly anymore do they?

I thought maybe one or two of the younger blokes might get a call up out of nowhere as you never know these days.

Wish young Baker well, but a tough gig getting a game at his height, you have to be exceptional when your that short, but if desire and determination mean anything, he'll leave no stone unturned. If your 200++cm it's soooo much easier to get a game even when pretty average. Cudos to the WP junior system where he learned the game and to Subi which gave him a preparation and training regime as close as possible to an AFL environment.
