BC given the Cock virtually had no pre-season due to a knee, Schoey's working him super hard in the 2's to make up for it. This will be 5 weeks and he has been dominating for the last 3 weeks so I'd bring him back for the game against the Boguns which should be a ripper. Who would drop out? I think the group with those 6 or 7 newby's coming in is just starting to gel nicely under Schoet's modified game plan, we saw that in patches last week, once they do it for 4 qtrs, we should be able to match teams like Souths, Swans and Claremont.

good effort by the boys but if I were an EP supporter I'd be livid with the game plan being used by WCE...they're not going to win too many just kicking the ball around and practicing defensive structures and plays. The usual suspects of Horse, Fez, Kitch, Hosko, Maxy all good. Liam with 6 big ones stood out in the forward half. Clanger battled manfully after Dela went down and Chris Bryan didn't look too good when he was helped off and hopefully it's not a knee. Loved the work of Aaron Heal and thought it was his best for a while. The backs are starting to gel with Gus Litherland settling in well. If Dela's calf doesn't come up next week I wonder if Schowey will give Madut a run? All in all to win by 13 goals was a pretty good effort although the ferals were pretty ordinary...oh and I reckon we cracked the 2000 spectator mark...

Yes BC it didn't look too good for Bryan, knee or ankle for sure. Madut was struggling to climb the grandstand stairs during the league game, he looked pretty sore...

I just read on The West online that it was an ankle for Bryan. hopefully only a couple of weeks. plenty of mids in the 2s to cover him but its the ruck situation which is a worry. what happened to Guiness?

Yeah they did the same sort of defensive structure practice against Swans a few weeks back which meant they racked up the possessions without doing much with them. Gave Swans a sniff in the last quarter because EP were not that far ahead on the scoreboard even though they had had more of the play. Looks like you guys made a mockery of them today.

They were a disinterested rabble of heartless footballers. The mockery is on the competition which allows a team to not be playing for the jumper or premiership points. I actually felt sorry for their supporters and the dwindling number of them is alarming. Interesting I noticed a long term hard core EP supporter in a Subiaco shirt. Either he lost a bet or has jumped ship. Good on him.
And not to take anything away from Subiaco. They were relentless after the first quarter, pretty impressive with room for improvement

It used to be Peel but now the mantle of competition embarrassment has clearly passed onto the feral eagles. After playing and beating the two alignment clubs in the last 2 weeks it's clear that the freo boys that go back to peel at least have a dip, the same cannot be said about most if not all of the 14 the eagles that played yesterday. They racked up big numbers but did little with it, Jetta was a prime example ... has that bloke ever earned a hard ball get? but he did run very hard on the outside for his 36 disposal but his efficiency like most of his team mates was abysmal. You have to feel for the trueblue Royals supporters, they are doing it tough in a situation they have no control over.

We were smashed in the tapouts ... again, 59 to 26, disposal were 441 to 352 the eagles way but we were so much more efficient due to having an identifiable game plan. The number of times they flooded our forward line, won the ball then bombed it to their forward line that was sans EP players, our backs had an uncontested birthday after 1/4 time.

Phez was BOG for mine, his 31 disposals and clearance work from a well beaten ruck was outstanding, Ryan was at his will of the wisp best continually running his opponent under the ball then doubling back to an open goal, his opponents just couldn't figure out that they needed to be goalside of him to have any chance of stopping him. Horse was his usual clinical best and Walters Hoskins, Kitch and Hancock dominated the midfield. Clang struggled manfully in the Ruck and was helped by Powell after Dela was injured. All the backs played well but really it was almost a training routine cleaning up the rubbish inside 50's by the Eagles. Concerns around Dela and Bryan going into the next 3 weeks which will be massive against Claremont, Swans and now clear flag favourites Souths, after those 3 games we will know exactly where we stand.

Can anyone advise what's the status of Damon Guiness? he's not been listed in the league or ressies for a few weeks so assume he has an injury, With dela injured he would be very handy but if he's not available then Madut should come in if he pulled up ok after yesterdays game. The 8 day break will be handy for him.
