Daws was no tactical genius, he had 2 major strengths.
He is a fitness guru and Swans were able to play a quick hard running game and had lots of good runners, his other strength was the players loved him and he was a players coach.

His record at east Perth when he lost the 2 gf's showed to me he is solid coach but lacks the tactical side of a top coach

DW he played a run with role that day on Cl best midfielder and pretty much negated him, so mothers little helpers worked a treat.

he played on Brabazon, he was certainly not Claremonts best mid-fielder.

interesting that Shane Yarran is shown on Subi's website in the league squad. Maybe they've come to terms with him and Freo if he doesn't land a stint at Her Majesty's pleasure or it could be he defaults back to Subi now that he's no longer a Freo player so just wishful thinking on my part. also Shep and Broughts are still listed so maybe the deal with Southport hasn't been done just yet.
