Great to finally see Maxy Walters getting a chance. Bit of a fan of Max, Tall-ish big bodied mid who has a real physical presence and knows how to get the footy.

Agree Waters is a bit stiff but maybe the match committee has decided that he wont be in the finals mix and is looking at a fully fit in-form option like Max as a better choice especially if we come up against fart in the finals who will be loaded up with big full-time AFL footballers.

If our backline continues in the same form as last week and our mids dominate again, then Grumps forecast cannot be dismissed. Mind you WART will have a real presence in the centre with their AFL boys plus Johnson who also has a massive presence around the ground and probably the best disposal for Ruckman in the comp.

IMHO Subi by 35pts on the first fine Saturday for some time. Will be interesting to see what condition the ground is in after so much rain but it was ok (for Leederville) when we played Souths & Swans.

If we win this one and secure top spot, the club should demand an independent inspection of the surface at Centrelink stadium before agreeing to play. Who knows what unspeakable items one might find on the surface after a big night in Crabtown.

Best to play safe and move the game to Subi oval, lets face it, it's the home ground for Freo players so they wont be impacted too much.

Looks like a sore calf for Rhys Waters according to the West this morning. Shame as he had more than his share of injuries since 2014.

Yep, that is easily the most physically imposing reserves side I have seen in at least 10 years and not just the three AFL listed players who were in action - although with 74 possessions and 9 goals 3, they had a massive impact.

That aside, EP would have won without them. Too big, too strong.

Boges and Fimmano got the ball but didn't hurt the opposition so much. Bestry and Creeper tried hard.

No side will even trouble EP in the ressies come finals time if all the players are available.

The score board was one sided LH. Which East Perth players did you find intimidating. The league match was hard fought, a bad third quarter from EP and it was over. The player you stole from us was the difference with his four goals.

I thought the whole side was superb. Eaton, Jones, Wilson, Hodgson big units. Strong units. But to give props to a skinny kid. Stanley Wright. I know his old man. He, like all of us at Scarborough High, barracked for Subi.

The young bloke is a good prospect
