Great news with Nathan Phillips making his return this weekend against Claremont in the reserves. I hope it's a great year for him.

yeah he won their F&B playing half a season of footy.....SF must of been well and truly flying that year!!.....

good to see the guy give it another go, fingers crossed his injury curse has been well and truly exorcised by all those good churching going folk like DG, OSG, BC, pocoko and the Reverend LH down at the Subi Vatican! ;)

Good news we need someone to kick a few now Broady's out for the year.

I think our forward options are better than they've been for a few years -
What would be our best forward 6 if everyone was on the park Ben ???

Phillips Stevenson Daye

Picket McDougall Deluca

?????

Herring also and Wheeler as big options
Also if they are chosen to play up forward - Ward,Phelan,Kayler-Thompson

Yeah looks good mate. I'd definitely keep the Sinclair/Madut combo changing ruck/forward though. They were lethal after 1/4 time on Saturday.

If Wheeler plays CHF, where does McDougall play when fit? Tough call to make. Not a bad position to be in.

I guess you could have a three way Ruck/Forward/Bench combo of Sinclair/Madut/McDougall. Now that would throw some spanners in the opposition works.

With Wheeler holding down the CHF spot and the most inform of Stevenson/Herring at FF.

Yep we've got more flexability in our forwards this year but we have to put more score on the board - Last year we had a good backline but just couldn't kick any goals to win games. We need more runners up forward and this year I think we'll have them?

Also with Broady and Anthony gone we need the big fellas in Wheeler,Stevo,McDougall to step up and Herring to find form again. We need a Lachlan Oakley bolter to come up with 50 goals plus to be a top four side if the rest of the forwards don't gell ???

Yeah true. Well plenty of small forwards to choose from with DeLuca, Pickett, Clarke, Garcia and Halligan and without doubt Gum, Phillips, Hampson, Kayler-Thomson, Kerr, Waters and Daniels running through there also when not on the ball. With Joey Daye thrown up there as a wild-card from time to time.

It's actually looking pretty good.

you boys keep mentioning Herring....the guy struggled at Peel and TBH their midfield last year was pretty good.....just can't see him doing any better at Subi. I reckon if Subi start falling down up front, they will have no option but to play Sinclair up front.

In the past, MacDougall seems to play better in the ruck than as a permanent forward, though how fit is he gonna be after being out for a while?...especially at his age and with his history of injuries....not doubting the boys ability to play, just his body durability. Also be interested to seehow Madut goes over the season against stronger bodies, hammering into him every weekend.....once again not doubting his ability, just senior footy is different to junior footy in terms of physical contact.
