No out's which is good. Still no Broughton or Wood. Backs look okay, mids are fine and the forward line still needs work. Is Madut injured as well?

Charlie played footy in Darwin over the summer and has decided to take a year off (at least) to concentrate on studies. This is a huge loss on top of everyone else!
Wood had a hip operation over the summer and is a few weeks away yet.
Broughton is taking it slowly to ensure he's ready to go because in his own words, its a long season and he doesn't want or need to rush it being a shoulder.
Rhys Watters is two to three weeks away.
I noted Stevenson was the runner for the reserves last week but not sure how close he is.
Chris De Luca retired for this year because he has had shoulder issues which affects his job as a brickie (I think)so he just wants a year off to see how things go.
This is all from info I gleaned from players and Basil at the club last Friday evening.

cheers Ocker 157...btw...love the handle...I don't think we'll see anyone at WAFL level kick 157 goals in a year ever again. I was there that day at Subi Oval v East Freo when he gave Trevor Sprigg the runaround and Cammy Blakemore was kicking backwards to him. From memory he could have wrapped it up in the first half if he'd kicked straight which shouldn't have been an issue for the great man. Anyway, to get over Bernie Naylor's record was some achievement in a struggling side.

good win by the boys although bit of a struggle. thought our mids were excellent again with Cockie, Kitch, Horse, Fez and Robbo all contributing...Shaun Bradley showed a bit this week...Declan Jackson, Haydn Kennedy and Jordie Lockyer were all rock solid. Shaq Mac stepped up and Sokol continues to improve although his kicking hasn't. all in all a pretty good result.

Not a bad game to watch, credit to Joondy for not going hard with the flood like most teams do against us, so it did open the game up. There were a lot of mistakes from both sides but both teams ran hard for most of the game.

Opened up well 17 point lead but inaccurate with 4.6. Big Seva was smashing us at the hitouts but was not up to our talls around the ground, Dela in particular was terrific. backs were solid as usual with Kennedy and Knott having a real dingdong battle, Knott is super quick and sharp around goals with two but in the end Kennedy had the clear edge with 19 disposals to 8. Lockyer, Heal were very good, Jackson was ok but gave up 4 goals. Mids were very good particularly Kitchen, Robbo, Horse, & Phez, Mahoney did a great job on Black keeping the prolific ball gatherer to 23 disposal while getting 22 himself. Cockie was at his brutal best charging out of the packs with guys hanging off him to create clearences and his tackling left an impression.

2nd qtr Joondy ran hard and spread really well and would have turned at halftime infront had they taken their chances. We were very untidy with the ball and coughed it up many times due both to good pressure and many under no pressure.

Joondy started the 3rd at great pace and rattled on 3 quick ones before the experience players for us steadied the ship and closed down their run, then from about the 20 min mark we piled on 5 unanswered goals to go into 3/4 25 points up but Joondy had a building breeze for the last.

Last qtr was a case of us controlling the ball for long periods and while Joondy worked really hard they eventually ran out of gas and we finished over them with 7 goals to 4.

Clangers 100th was forgettable for him but he's the ultimate team man and would be more than happy for another solid win over the Munchers.

Haven't watched the game yet (saving it for fly out day) but it seems Kitch put in another close to BOG performance, early days but he should be right up there for the Sandover if he keeps this form.

Good to see Sokol kick a few...goals and points!!....good little pick up for you guys....seem to have loads of talent just didn't get a run at SF.....also noticed Ryan kicked 6 goals in the reserves....perhaps life without Yarren won't be as bad as most first thought.....though Subi's reserves don't look as strong early on compared to recent times, is that an injury/depth thing or just early days?
