Hopefully we see him play at some stage.

Nathan Phillips too. I wish that bloke would have some luck. I'd donate a portion of my own knee cartilage if it would help him.

We were fading out last year in most matches. Usually 2 and a half quarters and we were gone sadly.

I can see why a few people were disappointed with the game because 9 goals to 1 in the second half was a bit like last year.

Having said all that we were without Dom Sheed, James Garcia, Andrew McDougall, Dan Leishman, Nathan Phillips, George Hampson, Antoni Grover, Brad Stevenson, Buddy Pickett, Callum Sinclair, Cam Wohling, Aidan Parker, Rhys Waters, Mark Nicoski and it's fair to say all are at least in the first 25. Plus a few others like Moore, Martin, Smith, Norriss, Hoskins and Bogensperger who would be close as well.

And that Daniels you gave us can play. Hard at it. Didn't you guys rate him that highly?

LH the comments that were passed on to me were that EP boys were surprised by the hardness in the first half but that seemed to disappear after half time. They did say that that was in poart to the EP gameplan being played properly and that Subi did not know how to respond.

It seems then that question is perhaps abt game plans and not fitness.

Many comments from the co tennants support staff indicated that on the track subi are very fit and willing to attack the ball but like so many things what works on the training park takes time to develop in a real game, scratch or not!

I would be a little more worried abt the depth of the subi squad, despite those t listed earlier as returning, your ressies got well beaten by a largely last year colts team, that would be a bit of a worry.

Good to hear that the boys were rated as hard at the contest in the first half.

Yeah Grump, depth will be a concern. Big turnover this year. Something like 30 or so different names from the round 1 squad of 65 or whatever it was at the start of 2012.

Very difficult to replace even with the 12-15 colts coming up, a handful of recruits etc..so yeah might be some tough days in the ressies with a few ammos on board even.

But still, I'll have a look at who didn't play from the entire squad. It might add up to about 20 something.

East Perth looked good. I guess Maldenis, Anderson, Lee and Swan would be certainties to be in the first 22 normally, plus 3 or so Eagles. Should be a top 4 side mate.

20 exactly I make it. Should make a difference come season proper with a bit of luck.

I wonder what the average weekly injury list is like at a WAFL club nowadays?

What I mean is, on average each week, how many players are unavailable due to injury at each club.

I'd guess in a squad of 60 + it would be somewhere around 6 to 10?

From what I have been told, Worsfold has told EP that there will only be 4 WCE per week this year.

That could be right as all the WAFL clubs keep whatever players they currently have until next year.

So that means there could be half a dozen WCE listed players running around in the magoos or they just don't play them at all? Won't that raise the eyebrows of WAFL clubs who have had to put up with a lot of whinging over the years when they have wanted to drop an AFL listed player to the ressies because his form didn't warrant league selection?

Well, East Perth realistically only have Morton, Cripps, Lycett and Wilson to choose from anyway. Unless the Eagles drop a Cox, Wellingham, Selwood or Rosa.
