Can someone explain the Top Up rule and why Subiaco have broken the spirit of it according to the Worst this morning?

We are flirting with danger that's for sure, but unlike a few other clubs we haven't breached the rules yet.

I think when they talk about the spirit of the law, it's about pushing the envelope without ripping it. It's been put to the WAFC and has received approval, move on. It's very similar to when WP were criticized for not being within the spirit when they found the loophole to recruit the young colts player from the feral empire.

So they are on 132 points when Boland comes back on the list which means they have to delist a player worth 2 or more points in 2 weeks time.
Be a few nervous blokes there and you think they would do it now so the bloke can go somewhere else if he wants.

How are Joel Latham & Mitchell McPhee both picked up from WP only listed as 1 point players whilst Slater & Wityk picked up by SD from WART are worth 2 points each?
Despite this deliberate misuse of the top up rule $ubi may well still be over the points cap if the WAFC check the players details a little bit more carefully and or Slater & Wityk's points come down to 1 either either!

check your facts leedy. neither of the 2 picked up by subi have played league for west perth. reserves or colts only.

Foxtel Cup games count towards League game tally's champ so they should also count in the points tally unless there was another Mitch McPhee who also somehow happened to be at WP playing against Western Storm-South Launceston last year!
Maybe our ol mates Barney, Ron & Bruce can put their heads together and work out how this has been overlooked to favour $ubi?

Apparently not champ..

Maybe look on the wafl website at each player and it will tell you what games they have played.

And if you also read the article in the paper it states that Subi has listed 60 players for there points where as you only need 55 So im sure they can get rid of Points in those 5 players to just list 55????
