In a good win for Subi today there was a pleasing point that many others may not have realised.
In today's team for Subi besides our obvious interstate recruits that most are aware of there were a number of former local colts players who made their mark on the game given an opportunity with Subi having injuries to over 12 senior players ATM including 7 of last years premiership team - Stockley, Feathers, Rumble, Stevenson, Worthington, Waters and Boland.

Norris - 1 game Jackson - 2 Kennedy - 11 Madut - 15 and Halligan - 17 all locals and former colts players had a influence on the match
Along with former Peel reserves player Heal with 19 games they have all played their hearts out and contributed well to Subis good vein of form that I personally thought would not be possible with our loss of personnel from last years premiership team from retirements and current injuries in 2015.

There's no doubt that Subis recruits have performed well but I feel it's the local second tier players that have been the difference. Well done to the reserve grade players that have stepped up after getting done in last years GF loss to WP. There is still a number of guys playing ressies ATM who could still slot in at league level and hold down a spot including but not limited to Blech, Moore, Daniels, Hoskins, Bryan, Ashman, Fimmano,Creeper, Grace, Summers and Bogie back from his op are all performing well and deserve a crack at league level at some stage.
It's a credit to the players and Subis development coaches that so many guys are ready made league players.

It's pleasing that all the guys who have gone up to league this year have made the most of their opportunities and have not looked out of their depth. Subis Colts have been struggling but the young ressies are doing well and I wish the team all the best for the remainder of the season in their quest for the flag that slipped through their grasp last year in the rain. South look the ones to beat but I'm sure as hell we have the talent to take it up to them.
The Colts have been working hard and the results will come with time - just keep working at it guys !!!
