Cardy and All -- you won the flag in 2013 -- you have nothing to complain about at all.

You forgot the bit about Subi not being allowed a bar until the late 1970s. Naturally, all other clubs had had bars for decades.

More generally, players have gone from poor clubs to strong clubs since the beginning of football time. In the early 80s, we lost Johns and Marshall to Sawans, and Perth, for its part, lost Kimberley to the same club. We even lost Bucknell and Polson to WP, but there were few shedding tears about it.

The one club that has been regularly raided by Subiaco has been EP, going back to the days of Peter Spencer.

I have made suggestions before on here about controlling the stronger clubs, but nobody bothered to respond. The best way is to put recruitment restrictions on the premiers and possibly second and third each year.

Maybe WP should concentrate on their own neglected zone instead of trying to short term cherry pick from mostly SD & Vic annually mate!!!
The best zone for kids in the fastest growing area in the country and yet only 2 from WP in the WA 18's squad (including an over aged Hinchcliffe) & only 1 in the WA 16's squad and similar poor numbers over previous recent seasons would suggest some 'mismanagement' in the development area up here!

think you are confusing football for cricket there BH.....Joondalup are the fastest growing area for producing cricketers mate......Hinchcliffe hopefully will pick cricket over footy...Hichcliffe, Inglis and Morgan should be pushing for state cricket in the next year or two......touch wood they do because all three are very talented!
